Paragons - Paladin
The Paladin is a warrior dedicated to a certain deity. If a Priest is the voice of a God or Goddess then a Paladin is the Hand of said Deity. They are the martial tool a deity uses to shape the world. Being a paragon, they will to go through cleric and warrior training; for instance Cavailer and Cleric.
They can have 1 Lead, two lieutenants and trainees per realm. They can be any warrior and priest class. Ranger can not be used to attain paladin.
They strive for purity of mind and body regardless of their alignment. Even a dark paladin strives for such inner control. They are the culmination of years of meditation and self discipline.
Paladins are ALWAYS lawful in alignment. They can be either good or evil, but they are always lawful; never neutral or chaotic.
Paladins get D3 on the meter.
They can use any melee weapon. They are not allowed ranged weapons.
They have a number of divine spells at their disposal. These often include minor self heals as well as limited ability to heal others. They can also restore endurance and food to themselves and allies in addition to limited divine damage spells.
Paladin gets a single resurrection if no Archdruid is on the battlefield.
The Paladin also has banish abilities. Banish abilities grant the archetype the ability to remove a single player of a certain type from a battlefield. That player but be re-summoned by the appropriate class in order to return. This makes banishment a VERY powerful ability. Only one banish spell can be cast per day by a single paladin.
Only one Paladin per Side can use the Banish ability on the Field of Battle.
Paladin Class Combinations are :
-- Cleric/Warrior: Champion
A noble infantry class. Combining the devotion of a cleric with the passion of a warrior. Making them a deadly force on the battle field. Using blessings and healing, heavy armor and weapons to bring devastation to any whom they deem a threat to their beliefs or cause.
-- Cleric/Caviler: Exorcist
A noble calvary class. Combining the devotion of a cleric with the passion of a mounted fighter. Making them a deadly fast moving force on the battle field. Using blessings and healing in combination with their steed (which is often a weapon itself), to bring devastation to any whom they deem a threat to their beliefs or cause.
At rank 4.3 They hold the title Defender
At rank 4.4 They hold the title Crusader
At rank 4.5 They hold the title Paladin
