Paragons - Mage Hunter
The Mage Hunter is a stealthy warrior primed to hunt. They train to fend off spell craft and find weaknesses within the magical chain of an opponents defenses. They can have one lead, two lieutenants and trainees per realm.
Mage Hunter is a paragon class that includes the following Paths:
- Venatio Magus (hunt arcane casters),
- Venatio Clericus (hunt divine casters), and
- Venatio Daemon (hunt other worldly casters).
All of these paths are subject to the same rules and HUDs allowed by this paragon class.
This is a Paragon class that only individuals that have been approved by the Conclave may enter into.
Without prior approval, this class is not open to the public.
They employ anti-magic shields, lassos and a variety of hand-to-hand combat techniques to startle, stun and kill.
Lighter armors are allowed, giving them the use of D2 on the meter. Only small arms weaponry is usable. Dirks, daggers, short swords, whips, and garrotes are common. Quarterstaves and hand crossbows are also allowed.
Stealth, speed, a knowledge of the arts and the motto "Know thine enemy" are the cornerstones of the mage hunter's trade.
Mage Hunter Class Combinations are;
-- Mage/Ranger: Thorn Gypsy
Use their mage skills for tracking and scouting and hunting magical beasts such as manticores, homunculi and golems.
-- Mage/Warrior: Incantrix
Use their mage skills to enhance their warrior abilities on the Mage Hunter path.
-- Mage/Rogue: Nightblade
Use their mage skills to enhance their stealth abilities; for instance, wards and lock picking, to better obtain their goals
-- Mage/Bard: Spellsinger
Use their mage skills to enhance the level of enchantment and ability to stimulate emotion with their music
-- Mage/Arcane Archer: Duelist
Focuses on duel wielding, primarily wands. Able to use wands more effectively by adding in the skill of archery to the magic of shooting wands.
At rank 4.3 They hold the title Exorcist
At rank 4.4 They hold the title Witch Hunter
At rank 4.5 They hold the title Mage Hunter
