Guild Masters - High Priest/High Priestess
The High Priest/ess is, of course, the highest cleric of the Land. This is the Divine Spiritual Leader of the Realm, and they are the very embodiment of Deity.
This person leads all the other clerics of the Realm, and teaches them to utilize their faith and skills in the service of their chosen Deity. A High Priest/ess can teach the basic underlying beliefs of any Deity that essentially matches their own Deity's alignment. Example: a High Priest/ess of Athena could teach the basic philosophies of Aphrodite as they are both "Good Aligned" but could not teach the followers of Set because Set is "Evil Aligned" and therefore creates a conflict in beliefs.
The High Priest/ess uses whatever weapon his or her chosen Deity uses or would use. An example is a Trident for a High Priest/ess of Poseidon. The exception to this, of course, is that any character with hands may select a staff as their chosen weapon. A High Priest/ess can use their HUD, their chosen weapon and a SINGLE additional item, such as a book, wand, or artifact. A two handed weapon - such as a staff - would preclude the use of any additional hand-carried artifacts. If the artifact is worn, such as a piece of jewelry, then it may still be permitted.
Armor allowed is Leather which is D1 on the GA meter.
Magic Resistance is M2 on the GA meter.
The Spells available to all clerics, including the High Priest/ess, are channeled through them from their Deity. They utilize Divine Magic and do not actually cast a spell themselves but rather are used as a conduit for their Deity to interact with the mortal world.
No Spells are allowed to be cast from the Air unless that High Priest/ess is engaged in Air to Air combat.
Healing spells of all types fall under the influence of a Cleric. These may be self healing, single target heals or even Area of Effect heals. They are also known to bolster the stamina and provide food to their companions. Conversely they can use their divine might to cause harm to opponents as well.
Resurrection is exclusive to the High Priest/ess that is filling that role on the Battlefield. Only two gods (one on each side) will grant this power to their Priests, and even then it is limited to only five per Battle. The channeling a person undergoes while casting this spell is immense and prohibits any additional casting even by the most physically fit healer.
Should the chosen High Priest/ess fall in battle, then there is one other - typically the Arch Druid - who has been granted a single resurrection, primarily to be saved to resurrect the High Priest/ess if necessary. Should that other individual have also fallen, then no resurrection is available to that side for the duration of the battle. The god will not grant another the power nor will another deity step in and pick up where his or her contemporary left off.
Nor will a Deity resurrect a member of the Opposing side for a Battle. Should an enemy fall in battle that deity will leave them there at least for the duration regardless of their own feelings towards life or death.
After a Battle the Deity will grant unlimited Resurrections to strengthen their Allies and Constituents. The Red Robes may also aid in this effort.
