Advanced Races - Bestial
IMPORTANT:
All beast-kind are allowed to use a Bite as their weapon.
The bites vary in damage, depending on the beast: Critter, Animal, Beast, or Mythical.
--Animals
Normal sized animals such as wolves, bears, hawks, etc. Birds can use their claws in Air to Ground and Air to Air Combat.
--Arthropod
Spider-people. May use Venom Bite Race Power available near the Great Library.
--Avian
Bird people. Physical in nature. No magic. They do possess wings and therefore have flight.
--Beast
Giant intelligent animals often in the company of Druids. Dire Wolf or Sabre-tooth Tiger are good examples.
Birds can use their claws in Air to Air or Air to Ground Combat.
Can use Beast Claw as their Weapon.
--Carnivorous Plants
Any of a variety of Intelligent, sometimes mobile plantlike beings. Floran, Sylvari and Strangle Thorns are good examples.
--Centaur
Large humanoids with the upper body of a humanoid and the lower body of a horse. They can range from 8 feet to 24 feet in height. They would wear giant on the meter if over 12 feet tall.
They can use any weapon, armor, shield, or spell available to their Class.
They are perfect Paladins, Cavaliers, Death Knights and Rangers, but are not excluded from any class.
--Chimera
A large magical beast that appears to be an amalgam of several different creatures. Usually this is a three-headed creature that can bite with its lion head, gore with its goat head, and breathe fire with its dragon head. It has dragon wings, and its tail is a snake, complete with a head on the end. Chimeras have the forepaws of a lion and the hind legs of a goat. They are permitted a breath weapon and beast claws.
--Critter
Small animals such as foxes, badgers, crows, or rabbits.
Birds can use their claws in either Air to Air or Air to Ground Combat.
--Drider
Upper body of a humanoid (typically a Drow) and the lower body of a giant spider. May use Venom Bite Race Power available near the Great Library.
--Froglok
Frog people. Special abilities include Jump and Tongue Lash. There are 2 types:
- The most common is called a Bok, and is the size of a dwarf.
- The other kind is called a Grippli; they are only a foot and a half tall, and they often serve as familiars.
There are no class restrictions on either type.
--Gelatinous Cube
A race of amorphous beings with no certain shape or size.
Their natural shape is a semi transparent blob of odd goo filled with the littering of whatever they have consumed but have not yet digested, such as metal, rocks, or bone.
--Gnoll
Hyena People. Often barbaric, they use the same stats as a Lycan.
Their special ability is that they have a 2,000 pound bite. They can literally snap bones by biting into someone.
They are permitted to use the Beast Bite Race Power as their weapon, available near the Great Library.
--Gorgon
Humanoid with snake hair. May use Venom Bite Race Power available near the Great Library. Does not turn people to stone.
--Griffons
Magical beasts who have the head and wings of an eagle and the lower body of a lion.
They can use Dragon Claws. They are not typically spell casters.
If they do practice magic it will be of either the Druidic or Shamanistic variety. They do of course fly. (Flying Rules Apply.)
--Harpy
Upper body of a woman and lower body of an eagle. Wings attached to their arms. Vicious as the day is long.
Can use Beast Claws in addition to a single handed weapon if they so choose. Bows can not be used in Flight.
Beast Claws can be used in Air to Ground and Air to Air Combat.
--Illithid
Squid-faced amphibious underworld dwellers. These beings possess high intellect and intense arcane energy.
They make excellent magi. Often called Mind Flayers, they are powerful psionic beings from the chaos plane.
--Insectoid
Any number of giant humanoid Insects.
They do not sleep and are resistant to charm, illusions and all glamors and magics which do not deal damage.
Thri-Kreen are an example of a Mantis insectoid. They do not have wings and therefore cannot fly.
Bixie is a kind of Bee people. They have wings and therefore can fly. Typically they are small, less than 2.5 feet tall, but royalty are man-sized. They can be any class.
--Jermalaine
Rat People, also called Ratonga. They are roughly a foot and a half tall. No class restrictions.
Their special ability is limited (short-term) invisibility.
--Khajiit
Cat People. Fur-covered bipedal humanoids with the head of a cat, dexterous paws, and tails.
The Khajiiti are fearsome warriors and particularly proficient with blades, but are not restricted to any one class.
Can use Weapons or Beast Claws.
--Kitsune
Fox People. Magical in Nature and often (but not always) evil. Can use Weapons or Beast Claws.
--Kuo Toa
Fish People. They life in subterranean oceans. They cannot see in the normal spectrum of light, but see in the UV spectrum. so they cannot see in normal light, but they can see perfectly well in pitch black. They have ultra vision. They have water-breathing (infinite air), a high natural armor class, and are particularly resistant to both heat and cold. They can be any class. They do have claws.
--Manticore
Humanoid-faced lion with bat-like wings and either a scorpion tail or a spiked tail.
Some individuals are intelligent but most have a beast level intellect. (Flying rules apply.)
--Minotaur
Bull-headed ogre-sized humanoid.
Often carnivorous and brutal, but there are a few branches which have made peace with nature.
--Naga and Lamia
Snake people with the upper body of a biped and the lower portions of a snake.
May use Venom Bite Race Power available near the Great Library.
--Neko
Cat people. Typically small-bodied bipeds which are Asian in nature and Anime in style.
Can use Beast Claws or hand-held weapons.

A roc’s plumage is typically dark brown or golden from head to tail. These enormous creatures are 30 feet long from the beak to the base of the tail, with wingspans as wide as 80 feet. A roc weighs about 8,000 pounds. Uses Beast Claws.
--Sphinx
Half lion and Half humanoid with wings. There are several types of Sphinx.
The two most common are Gyno sphinx (female upper torso), Andro sphinx (male upper torso). (Flying rules apply.)

Bird people. Magical in nature and usually very good. Some clans have lost the power of flight.
--Unicorn
Intelligent single-horned horse. Often cloven-hoofed.
Magical in nature and the elders possess teleportation. Telepathic at close range.
