Arcane Warrior
A Thaumaturge is mage-alchemist that converts energy from one form to another. This involves transforming one thing into another, an example is turning lead into gold. It is a mesh of magic and materia.
An Arcane Warrior is a weaponized Thaumaturge. They have honed their penchant for energy transfer into a combat art form. Their body acts as a battery for magic to pool inside. It collects there and is released through their energy transfer. This can be very dangerous as it is possible to release to much and kill oneself.
This can come in the form of "pushing" energy inot another caster so as to improve the energy level and decrease the limitation of a spell casters spell. It is helpful to know and understand the nature of the spell type. To understand the nature of a spell type increases the likelihood of success and decreases the likelihood of inadvertent suicide.
The more common fashion of weaponizing Thaumaturgy is to attune oneself to a specific target. This target varies from type to type. An Arcane Archer uses a bow and a Spellsword uses a sword. Of NOTE. An Arcane Warrior can NOT cast their spells without that foci. An Arcane Archer must have a specialized attuned bow, a Spellsword must have a specialized attuned sword (or axe, mace, etc)
This does not mean they can not use any other weapon types. as they can, but they can not cast through them.
Casting through any other weapon save for their attuned weapon will become weakened and could be easily destroyed. (Is destroyed if it a non magical item, magical items will cause a "feedback" which will cause damage to the caster--Again IF it is not their attuned weapon.)
As one progresses in knowledge and power one becomes more and more capable of greater and greater spells and instilling power into another caster.
A level one Arcane Warrior can instill magic into a level one spell (cast by another) with only mild cause for self-preservation. The chance goes up for each higher level spell charged in this way.
The Arcane Warrior uses such a foci to transfer the energy they have collected in their bodies to release for deadly effect. Consequently all spells allowed to this fighter-mage hybrid are combat oriented. An example of such a spell list would be Bigby's Crushing Hand for a Samurai, Flaming Sword for Spellsword and Acid Arrow for Arcane Archer.
