A place for the roleplays regarding the Fog of War Roleplay. ((I will try to drop summaries here of effects that need to be observed))
Peli'nor occupys ground of her choosing in Tari and sets up defensive 'hedgehogs' in anticipation of a reaction from Taure Ru. Having fought the undead under the control of the Stone of J'dron in Tari, and annihilated them in the tortuous terrain of the Sylvan province... she sets about for a similar conflict. However this time she had both the advantage of choosing the best ground and maintaining the initiative, she would force the fight... even at the expense of the hapless population of Myder.
-The bombardment also covered a more clandestine effort on the part of Tari's Clerics... the sinking of cassions into the river approaches of Tari. These were imbued with a minor 'turn undead' dweomer that would keep Taure Ru's hoards milling about on the landward approaces into Tari... again by design. The ArchPaladin wanted Ru's undead choking the roads....
-"Elaine blath, Feainewedd. Dearme aen a'caelme tedd. Eigean evelienn deireadh. Que'n esse, va en esseath. Feainewedd, elaine blath"...moisture in the air begins to grow heavy, thick enough that it can be tasted on each breath any in the air would take, and he conjures a thick fog to roll cover the boarder of Sylvhara Tari and Taure Ru to prevent the soldiers to continuing to fire the cannons- This was added to by Faulkes. He musters his hold on the weave with a growl and begins pulling mana to himself. The air thickens with moisture, the fog becomes denser. This ploy might dampen the offense, but it may also prevent defense...
Vaurk Ort: The army of undead warriors slowly emerges from the fog that has settled in to the river valley that separates Sylvhara and Taure Ru. Archers.. spearmen.. knights.. champions of the darkness wield their weapons once again in the face of the light.. A clatter of bones and armor, erie groans and shrill screams would penetrate the night air. Though the fog hid their numbers it was clear a formidable force had gathered to defend the borders of their realm
Trinity Heir: The drow female in the Harbormaster's office hears murmurs from the town above her and slips silently up the stairs...to see legions of the dead marching through the streets of Myder and toward the bridge. With the cannons stopped at this time, she slips back down and touches her lieutenant's shoulder. "Send some of ours up onto the other roofs with crossbows tipped in poison and bottles of it...anything they can send in range. It will not hurt these soldiers, Jaluk, but will hurt those others." She steps away from him, her mind still focused on how she can best use the fog and the subtle abilities of her employees.
Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): inhales sharply as he looks back down to the Paladin, and lets out a long drawn out sigh..."I will leave the weather like this for now, and make my way to Ithryn..."...the Avariel quickly heads to the east into Elen, nearly pushing the door to the Mage's guild off its hinges as he enters the nearly empty hall..."And a simple message to inform them that the Invictus Mages must mobilize..."...leaving an Arcane Rune upon the air over the desk of the Guild Master he would leave a message for her for when she next graced her office *due to the less than intelligent actions of our General, and Pelinor we required the assistance of the Battle Mages of Invictus. I leave his message for you as a report of mobilizing them to work with the Arcane Warriors to defend the norther most entrance to Taure Ru from Sylvhara."...once the spell was finished, he turned his back on the floating rune of power to dispense orders appropriately.
Aria Kaze (yfandes): holds her hand out as her messenger approaches, watching carefully as it dances Acacia's message on her palm. "Fae guard... Juni...." a crease forms between between her brows and her eyes darken as she realizes that she has not seen her sister Juni in some time. "Search out Juni, little soldier, and send word to the Fae Guard, they are needed."
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): placing one hand on each of the crystals in turn she brought her focus to it and then slowly touched the ingredients laid out before her. Taking a large pinch of the Pixie dust, she sprinkled it liberally over the crystal. In a clear melodic tone, she comands"glioscarnach, fite fuaite, bíomaí ildaite an tsolais, ar ais an dochar thrice-huaire." [shimmering, intertwined, multicolored beams of light, return the harm thrice-fold.} The crystals began to glow as the various dusts sank deep within it. The colors forming into rays of light. Into each ray of light, she felt the element, and focused her intent on the spell, weaving a different evocation into each color. Into the red, she wove the feeling of fire burning, wrapping in the scent of burning flesh and hair. Into the orange the feeling of acid melting into the skin, the sound of the sizzle as well, Into the Yellow she wove the great lightenings, striking and burning through the body, dazing and confusing them. Into the green, her lips turning up in a wry smile, She wove a call to the very plants, that any were touched by this beam would find the plants of the earth rising up against them. Into the blue, she wove the power of water, the light would strike them with the power of a wave crashing over them. Each of the six crystals received this same spell Once they were done, she released the power of the weave and the elements with a flick of her hands. (this effect was set in slyvahara- a large purple crystal- in a subsequent roleplay.)
Vaurk Ort: The skeletal warrior ambushed by the drow rogue lets loose a shrill howl before tumbling to the ground in a pile of dust, his skull impacting a stone, shattering the vial clinched within it's teeth.. The second skeleton finds no such obstacle between him and his target and crashes into the soldiers with all of his might, smashing the vial and just as the the first one, it's corrupt contents flow down into the soil below and disappear in a puff of dark purple mist..
Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): watches as, one by one, the soldiers seem to lose their strength. Their weapond droop in their hands, some who were closer to the fallen skeletons, stumble and fall. The mage recognizes the effect, the taste of hte magic. He calls out "Void Magic. Fall back! Fall back! get out of hte mist!" He feels the draining effect as the mist begins to wrap around his legs. He cannot save any of the fallen soldiers and attempts to stagger away from the creeping mist.
Vaurk Ort: would grin, chuckling quietly to himself as his plan worked as well as he could have hoped.. This magic was potent but short lived.. a day or two at most, but enough to buy some time and sow fear into the steadfast hearts of his adversary. With that he would conserve his energy for the days to come and return to the Reliquary. His undead minions, however, would need no such rest, or food, or drink, in their defense of Taure Ru's borders, and now cloaked in a thick fog obscuring visual sight enjoyed by most mortals, they would enjoy a bit of protection through the night.
Baelwhelar: Once the pile was set, he set his circle of magic around it. Casting all his stored energy into the spell. The circle he made while his troops fought and died around him. Then he cast the long lasting effect of circle of protection from good. In the hopes it would take a while for them to even give their dead a proper burial. Something he hoped would gall the Sylvans properly. Once the circle of silver was full laid out around the pile he called to his god. "I ask humbly with the blood of my enemies dripping from me. To set your unholy grace over this area. Allow non of good nature and heart to enter this area. Let them see their kin rot for the deeds done. Let them know what awaits them. " sending his energy as a channel conduit for his deity into the circle to infuse it. Before readying the call to retreat to the border.(] D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Baelwhelar rolled a 96 on a d100.) to cast and retreat.
Baelwhelar has called forth the beast of the depths he found long ago. When it began to ravage ruvian ships. Finding out it was not just a simple beast, he had warned most merchants and ships that ported in Ru of the beast and to offer it some gift to be left alone. Now though he had stirred it's hunger. Giving it an offering of thirty prisoners and letting it know there were ships not far from Ru's coast. Would it attack? Who can guess

Prelude to War
Phase I: The hedgehogs
Peli'nor occupys ground of her choosing in Tari and sets up defensive 'hedgehogs' in anticipation of a reaction from Taure Ru. Having fought the undead under the control of the Stone of J'dron in Tari, and annihilated them in the tortuous terrain of the Sylvan province... she sets about for a similar conflict. However this time she had both the advantage of choosing the best ground and maintaining the initiative, she would force the fight... even at the expense of the hapless population of Myder. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
[2018/02/25 18:52] Pelinor Aurotharius: marched down the coast road in southern Tari with half of the Sylvan army behind her, an entire division including the Golden Phalanx... three artillery companys... and three heavy infantry brigades from old Fort Tari. Upon entring Tari a third halted and begin digging in astride the coast road, constructing the first 'hedgehog' that would be the foundation of her defense of the Sylvan frontier. A second 'hedgehog' was begun across from the Tari bridge covering the approaches to Sylvamir Gorge. The remaining third of the division appeared on the Tari plateau across the river from Myder... in full view of the towne the ArchPaladin began emplacing her heavy twentythree inch mortars... to all outwards appearances she looked as if to reduce the village to a smoking ruin at the earliest convenience.
[2018/02/25 19:07] Trinity Heir: A dark figure stands in the shadows atop the Black Swan, spyglass carefully held to avoid catching or flashing any light as she studies the activity across the river. Her jaw tightens and she tells the male beside her curtly, "That merchant was wise to mention this, as were our own associates. Open season ends now, Jaluk. Vith!" she mutters under her breath. "See if those men of the general's will even notice this. If not, they are blind and you will send a runner to the General and to the Keep for the High Queen. Go now!" She turns back to the activity and makes a careful mental note of the movement and artillery she sees through her spyglass.
[2018/02/25 19:14] Pelinor Aurotharius: 'walks' an artillery barrage across the Sylvan frontier, it rumbles and pauses on it's first target... a small bridge across the river close to old Fort Tari, ironically on the Sylvan side of the border. This was an intentional preamble to the upcomming hostilities, she intended to restrict movement in the province all along the frontier. She could have had her engineers remove the bridge in a few hours... but the demonstration was necessary to the populace of Myder township in her overall strategy. Aas such she now began 'walking' a second barrage towards the town... the deafening salvos creeping towards the hapless populace. Behind her all along the coast road the 'hedgehogs' began to take shape...
[2018/02/25 19:20] Trinity Heir: The figure up on the roof glances down briefly at the folk below, now milling in the streets and bleating like sheep, most of them. As fire arcs toward the town, she races toward her rope and scrambles down it to the docks below. "Ships out of the harbor!" She orders. "Watch for the kraken on the way out!" She hurries into the Swan. "Everyone! Stay calm and go out the back way, across the docks and into the hills."
[2018/02/25 19:24] Jaydianna Spellhunter: hears a loud noise coming from some distance away when Uma comes running up the steps "M'lady... there are people attacking the town we must hurry" Jaydianna jumps up from her place and follows her shopkeep down the steps "Grab all the valuables you can, quickly and go into the waterways, hide there until I can come for you" she orders watching Uma scramble around the shop gathering all of their most valuables and scurrying down below through the secret passages. She then quickly gathers up her ledger and tosses it down the stairs, shutting the trap door firmly and runs out of her shop to see if anyone is harmed or needs aid.
[2018/02/25 19:26] Trinity Heir: The drow female watches everyone go, remembering belatedly to murmur "Jal" "Jaluk", "Jalil" as she watches the Swan empty aside from Dolores and the few intrepid drunks who are unconcerned about artillery as long as they can drink.
[2018/02/25 19:29] Emerald Morningstar (vvitchy): hides within the trees as she observes artillery and a large mass of soldiers move towards the Taure Ru border.
[2018/02/25 19:29] Jaydianna Spellhunter: emerges into the street to see people in panic running out of the town and towards the forest and keep. She keeps an eye out for any injured and runs towards the other shops to see if everyone is okay.
[2018/02/25 19:30] Pelinor Aurotharius: 's intention was to drive the civilian population into Taure Ru and choke the roads and assembly areas for the armies of Ru. Now she shifted the bombardment to the main bridge adjoining Tari to Myder, there was little chance of dropping the immense structure... but that was not her intention. Damaging it and again demonstrating the close proximity of the 'hedgehog' was foremost... to her far right most of the northern part of Tari was devoid of her forces, a huge bulge into the province stood across for the fort beneath Klavnork keep, again by design. Reports of ships departing Myder began to reach her... these would see the main body of the Sylvan fleet off the south coast.
[2018/02/25 19:31] Luna Knight (lunaculto): jumps up, hearing a loud noise up above, "what in the fires of Freya?" She zooms toward the surface to see what is going on
[2018/02/25 19:33] Acelynn Fae (acelynnfae): hearing the loud noises on her way home, she sneaks into the forest. Sticking to the trees she ventures closer to see what the commotion is
[2018/02/25 19:42] Trinity Heir: The dark figure climbs her rope back up to the roof to watch the troops again. Once there, her gaze sweeps across the harbor to see the ships carefully returning past the kraken at the harbor's mouth. "Vith!" she mutters again, savagely. She slams her fist against the roof. "Where the HELL are the General and the Queen?"
[2018/02/25 19:46] Vaurk Ort: descends from the sky in his raven form having felt the ground shake from the impact of cannon balls, one nearly knocking him from the sky had he not been paying attention. Landing on a post near to the border he peers into the trees to see Sylvhara amassing soldiers and cannons just on the other side of the river. As another cannon lets loose, he would watch the projectile soaring overhead, landing clumsily in an empty field.. he turns his eyes back to the east and scowls.. without wasting another moment he would take flight again and turn back toward the hills and into the dank bowels of the mountain.. into the Necropolis..
[2018/02/25 19:47] Luna Knight (lunaculto): flitters high above Ru, trying to get some idea of what is going on
[2018/02/25 19:49] Jaydianna Spellhunter: makes her way into the waterways and takes a waterbreath potion from her pouch, making sure everything is secure as she wades into the water and down the potion. After a few seconds she dives deep into the water and begins her swim through the rivers of Slyvhara over towards where Alton is being kept, doing her best to be as fast as she can. As she approaches she feels the effects of the potion where off and she slowly rises towards the surfrace, taking note that there seems to be less gaurds then when she was there before. She climbs out of the water and up the shore, catching her breath before sneaking up the wall and into the corridors. She slips past a couple of gaurds and heads down the steps towards where Alton is kept in his cell and quietly approaches it "M'lord Alton... it is Jaydianna. I have returned as promised and I seek your help... Myder and Ru are being attacked" she whispers softly hoping to keep his rage focused on something other than her.
[2018/02/25 19:50] Pelinor Aurotharius: now silences the mortars and continues the build up along the coast roads, the three 'hedgehogs' take shape and her heavy infantry and marines move into them... scorpions, onagers and ballistae now begin to form the air defenses within the 'hedgehogs' and belts of 'dragonsteeth' are set out in dense rows guarding the approaches. The bombardment also covered a more clandestine effort on the part of Tari's Clerics... the sinking of cassions into the river approaches of Tari. These were imbued with a minor 'turn undead' dweomer that would keep Taure Ru's hoards milling about on the landward approaces into Tari... again by design. The ArchPaladin wanted Ru's undead choking the roads....
[2018/02/25 19:50] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): stands, hearing movement outside his cell door and stands, hearing the whispered words, "WHAT?!" and growls low, "get me out of here, jalil...there are meals to be had"
[2018/02/25 19:52] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): Faulkes Voronwe runs up from behind the lines to where Peli is commanding her artillery.
Emerald Morningstar flutters down out of the trees as she sees Faulkes below. "Greetings Archmage" she says above the roar of artillery.
Faulkes Voronwe winces at the boom of the mortars. "Miye, Mage Emerald. I don't suppose you have any idea of what in the Abyss is going on here?" Emerald Morningstar shrugs her shoulders. "I came to see if I could figure that out myself. I still do not know." She watches as the Paladin runs among the artillery and soldiers shouting orders.
[2018/02/25 19:52] Jaydianna Spellhunter: gladly opens his door and releases him. Not waiting to watch what he does before she scrambles up the steps and makes her way as quietly as possible back to the water to try and find her way back without getting caught.
[2018/02/25 19:54] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): grins as he gathers mana, fingers pointed down a chunk of earth raises beneath his palm, forming into a demonic mask. He hisses and makes for the surface, making quick work of any who might have stayed behind to get in his way, claws tearing into flesh of the unlucky ones.
[2018/02/25 19:56] Pelinor Aurotharius: takes a moment to oversee the the 'hedgehogs', forming a line along the south coast road they 'backdefended' each other with their artillery companies as construction continued... noticing the arrival of the ArchMage she smile in greeting... "Mage Faulkes."
[2018/02/25 19:56] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): lifts off as he reaches the surface, making his way toward the borders
[2018/02/25 19:56] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): knows better than to distract Dame Pelinor from her business, but he scowls disapprovingly. "She's gone mad," he says to Eme.
[2018/02/25 19:58] Jaydianna Spellhunter: makes her way close to the bridge entering Taure Ru and pauses, having no more waterbreathing potions she contemplates how to make it back across without getting caught.
[2018/02/25 19:59] Emerald Morningstar (vvitchy): turns to the Archmage and laughs. "It is the nature of the warrior" she says with a grin. Turning she watches the the artillery fire, her eyes twinkle with a light more than could be attributed to the glow of the fire blasts.
[2018/02/25 19:59] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): swoops down upon the soldiers, reaching to carry one (npc) up into the air where he would relieve him of his helm and throat
[2018/02/25 19:59] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): raises his head slightly as the crack of ignited gun powder range through the air from the forest of Tari, a scowl covers the Avariel's face as he flies as fast as the air currents would take him, and he descends slowly to hover in the fire path of the cannons that are aimed at Taure Ru..."What has gotten into your mind?"
[2018/02/25 19:59] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): "That's Archmage Faulkes... I do hope you have the Queen's approval for all this. Sylvhara doesn't usually engage in first strikes."
[2018/02/25 20:01] Luna Knight (lunaculto): sees things going crazy below and zips back toward the Hive, shouting at the fae who might be poking their heads out, "get back get back! The man people have gone crazy!" and retreats inside to safety
[2018/02/25 20:02] Pelinor Aurotharius: nods politely to Faulkes... "Indeed we don't usually strike first... usually. And everything is proceeding in consulatation with General Star's approval... I'm sure she will keep Her Majesty abreast of matters... as we do have a chain of command. Will there be anything else ArchMage?"
[2018/02/25 20:03] Acelynn Fae (acelynnfae): Crouching and moving slowly she comes as close as she can to hear what is going on. Frightened yet determined to find out why her home lands are under attack
[2018/02/25 20:03] Jaydianna Spellhunter: makes her way back into Myder and heads into tunnels under Myder for safety
[2018/02/25 20:04] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): shouts "Star? Kali's Six Tits! Another of her mad adventures."
[2018/02/25 20:04] Vaurk Ort: steps into the ancient crypts of the Necropolis, his footsteps echoing through the dark halls.. As his presence begins to seep into the deepest corners of the crypt, the residents begin to stir. Long forgotten warriors of the ancient lands of Aryador and the noble champions of Nox Templarum .. bitter and vengeful are they for they have felt the long spear of the Sylvan lion before. "My minions.. Long have your bones rest in the ancient crypts of Aryador.. long have you enjoyed the protection of the Nocturnal Stone which has bathed our lands in darkness. The time has now come.. as the golden Queen of the east has dared launch an attack on our sacred lands.. How would you answer such a call to war?" he stares down those within his visual sight though his intent could be felt in every last crypt of the Necropolis. At first.. silence.. but then the stirring of bones and armor begins to fill the halls as the once fallen now rise to their feet with weapons in hand.. Slowly he points his hand toward the
[2018/02/25 20:04] Vaurk Ort: entrance and the tide of undead begin to file through the door, making their way onto the mountainside, eastward bound..
[2018/02/25 20:08] Luna Knight (lunaculto): shouts to the fae within the Hive, "The man people have gone crazy! Somebody find Colby!"
[2018/02/25 20:09] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): furrows his brow further as the Paladin seemed to ignore his question to her, he remained in the path of the cannon fire as if to dare the soldiers manning them to fire upon him to carry out any daft orders they may have received from Pelinor..."Funny that the rest of Comet's leaders were not made aware of this. There is more than one way to end this..."...the Eldritch Knight raises his arms from his sides as he still hovers in the air, his wings stretching out wide to the sides as he pulled upon the weave with the full power of a High Mage, the power he commands maintaining his position in the air as the skies overhead darken even further..."Elaine blath, Feainewedd. Dearme aen a'caelme tedd. Eigean evelienn deireadh. Que'n esse, va en esseath. Feainewedd, elaine blath"...moisture in the air begins to grow heavy, thick enough that it can be tasted on each breath any in the air would take, and he conjures a thick fog to roll cover the boarder of Sylvhara Tari and Taure Ru to prevent the soldiers to
[2018/02/25 20:09] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): continuing to fire the cannons
[2018/02/25 20:13] Jaydianna Spellhunter: feels a strange sort of chill drift in the air and shudders. She directs people into the space under the tavern for safety and points to the tunnels instructing them to escape down them and into them if need be. She then makes her way up to get the rest of the people in the Tavern to move their drunken arses and to see what is going on
[2018/02/25 20:14] Briar (briardarkthistle): Lands some distance behind the line of artillery and approaches on foot, unsure of what's going on, As he lands he sees the thick fog roll in he steps back into the tree line to wait until he may be needed.
[2018/02/25 20:14] Pelinor Aurotharius: looked about with satisfaction as the defenses coalesced and the caissons were emplaced. In her hand was was a well worn tome, the Goblin General Zhukov's definitive work on defense in depth. The arrival of Nifredil's fog was an unexpected touch but her mortars had fallen silent to rearm and resupply... she manages a polite nod to the Avariel as she goes about supervising the completion of the works. Now the waiting would begin... Taure Ru always employed her legions of undead and she wondered at how long conventional forces within Ru would wait for the undead to engage... the longer the better she mused wryly. This would be a very long protracted battle if she had her way....
[2018/02/25 20:15] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): sees flying figures darting around above the border out of the range of the mortar fire. Two in particular catch his eye: the avariel spellsword, and a dark demonic figure swooping in on the soldiers. He musters his hold on the weave with a growl and begins pulling mana to himself. The air thickens with moisture, the fog becomes denser. This ploy might dampen the offense, but it may also prevent defense...
[2018/02/25 20:17] Acelynn Fae (acelynnfae): Watching the Army move into their positions, orders being called out. She notices a table that officers of the army keep going to, to hard to make out what they are saying she just watches. Upon seeing the fog roll in, the confusion, the chaos she realizes this is her chance. Darting quick into the camp she leaps to the table! Snatching any papers she can. Her heart beating in fear, she jumps from the table and rushes to the woods hoping the fog would cover her escape.
[2018/02/25 20:18] Emerald Morningstar (vvitchy): watches as a deep fog descends upon the border and uses her fae glamour to blend herself in with the surrounding foliage. She lifts up off the ground and back into the trees as it is difficult now to see what is around her.
[2018/02/25 20:19] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): 's mask parts, giving room enough for his teeth to sink into the flailing soldiers throat, separating head from body. He throws the body with force in Pelinor's general direction, dodging flying projectiles and flies away to Myder, the soldier's head still in hand.
[2018/02/25 20:22] Pelinor Aurotharius: had left the entire northern aproaches to Tari open for an inviting deep thrust into the province, no doubt Ru's commanders would see this and wonder at the 'trap'... if indeed it was a trap. Meanwhile the Sylvan navy sat off the south coast, it's own cannon adding to the network of defenses between the 'hedgehogs'. The 'hedgehogs' not only supported each other along the coast road but could be slowly withdrawn, one falling back into the other if pressure mounted on the forward position... the proximity of the Sylvan navy also mean't the 'hedgehogs' could be reinforced from the sea, or conversely, evacuated by the same.
[2018/02/25 20:23] Colby Lykin: tears through the undergrowth. A feral wolf following the passion of his hunger, hunting for prey. The sound of explosions in the distance do little to distract him as he remains focused on only the most basic primal call of the wild.
[2018/02/25 20:24] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): "Pelinor!? Can the Undead bridge the river gap here?"
[2018/02/25 20:26] Jaydianna Spellhunter: pokes her head out of the tavern and watches a furious Alton confronting someone in the town square, a disemboweled head dangling in his hand. She motions for the few stragglers left running in the town to head into the tavern where Uma would escort them safely into the tunnels undernearth
[2018/02/25 20:26] Pelinor Aurotharius: nods in the affirmative to Faulkes... "Indeed, but only slowly me thinks... out front will hold easily here for days if they choose to do so, we have a few Clerics among the ranks. My hope is they swarm acroos the northern frontier and shamble about there."
[2018/02/25 20:26] Vaurk Ort: The army of undead warriors slowly emerges from the fog that has settled in to the river valley that separates Sylvhara and Taure Ru. Archers.. spearmen.. knights.. champions of the darkness wield their weapons once again in the face of the light.. A clatter of bones and armor, erie groans and shrill screams would penetrate the night air. Though the fog hid their numbers it was clear a formidable force had gathered to defend the borders of their realm
[2018/02/25 20:29] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): satisfied that the cannons would not dare fire with as dense as the fog may be he sifts his attention to Taure Ru now, he had heard the march of soldiers across the boarder with his sharp Elven hearing, his long ears twitching slightly..."Foolish damn female..."...he already knew that the fog irritate most among the lands, and this was the last thing that they needed to have happen; it was when the coordinate sound of the armor and bones stopped that he knew that the forces of the shadows were poised to attack now as well..."Look what you did, Pelinor. Don't you have more sense than this?"...he looksd back over his shoulder as his large raven wings beat strongly to keep him afloat..."Any more ideas to prevent this as long as possible, Faulkes?"
[2018/02/25 20:29] Luna Knight (lunaculto): shivers, feeling a change in the air and calls her spider friends close to her, "Portia!? Portia where are you?!" she shouts worriedly, hugging the large spider to her now as she makes her presence known.
[2018/02/25 20:29] Briar (briardarkthistle): shakes his head and spreads his wings to rise above the fog hopefully he could call out any approaching troop movements
[2018/02/25 20:32] Aria Kaze (yfandes): flies toward the West, finally coming to a stop where the dissonance she feels pulsing through her is the strongest "what in the name of Titania is going on?" she wonders as she sees nothing but a thick fog covering the area. Listening closely, she gets a sick feeling as she hears a new melody weaving into the song, one of death and decay... and it is moving closer.....
[2018/02/25 20:33] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): walks up even with the line of mortars and peers into the fog. He wonders if the magic glasses would help him see through the fog, but decides that this is no time to experiment. "Prevent? The damage is done; we must work the defense here. I see Peli's plan, but we'd better hope she has enough live troops in the north."
[2018/02/25 20:34] Trinity Heir: The drow female sits in the Harbormaster's office of Myder, nodding with satisfaction as she sees fog settle over the water here...and likely over the border river as well. "I understand about the ships, Jaluk Captain," she tells the third, or the fifth..she doesn't recall now. "Please anchor here and be prepared to leave quickly." Her mind races as she contemplates her choices and the odds, and the people available to her.
[2018/02/25 20:35] Guppy Tierbal: flies westward towards the commotion, following Aira and Sable assuring to keep them in his sights till spotting them stopping causing him to snap his wings wide with a heavy swoop to bring himself to a stop, emanating a deep growl while looking down onto the scene below filled with confusion
[2018/02/25 20:37] Pelinor Aurotharius: shrugs to Nifredil... "This has been a long time comming, I would rather start things on our terms and with our defenses arranged thus... and with the nod of our General Star." She turned back to attending to the reports of completed works and movements on the Ru side of the border. With most of the approached slowed or blocked before her defenses, the undead would have a long march along Tari's rivers... they would be tracked by her artillery the entire route. Meanwhile deep inside Tari near the Elen border waited the cavalry and rangers, the former were in brigade strength and waited as the nemesis to any conventional Ruvian forces that would exploit salient in Tari's north.
[2018/02/25 20:39] Vaurk Ort: As the cannon fire eases up from the thick fog, townfolk peek out their windows onto the streets of Mydertown, which are now marching, not so slowly, down the streets toward the bridgehouse.. there they push the gate open and prepare to defend the bridge into Myder.
[2018/02/25 20:40] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): sighs heavily at what Faulkes had said, deep inside his mind he knew he was right, at this point..."Perhaps its time to mobilizes the Battle Mages then? Should Send word to Zoskia to have some of the Invictus Mages join the Arcane Warriors along the boarder further to the north of here then?"...he snapped around to the Paladin as she made her comment, his cat-like eyes seeming to bore into her as he looked down at the blue Elf..."Perhaps the 'General' should have sought council from all of her advisors before ordering something to his scale..."
[2018/02/25 20:41] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): glances toward Breena, content that Jaydianna would do what was necessary and takes flight once more, this time for Xess'Uni.
[2018/02/25 20:41] Aria Kaze (yfandes): drifts down, observing all she can. Humming a soft melody she summons the bees. "Fly swift and sure, my friends, to Queen Acacia and give her my message. 'Armies form on the border and I can feel Death walking the lands. Guard the Portals and keep the young Faen safe. The Song is out of tune and I fear War is coming to the land.'" She watches as the bees repeat her message and then sends them to Anar, yellow and black streaks of urgency flying through the skies to find the Faery Queen.
[2018/02/25 20:43] Trinity Heir: The drow female in the Harbormaster's office hears murmurs from the town above her and slips silently up the stairs...to see legions of the dead marching through the streets of Myder and toward the bridge.
[2018/02/25 20:43] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): calls up to Nifredil "Yes. Summon the Invictus."
[2018/02/25 20:44] Pelinor Aurotharius: grins widely to the Avariel... "We are talking about Star neh?" She returns to her supervision, donning a nondescript infantry helm... as did all of her officers, she would be difficult to single out by enemy snipers. In contrast, her scorpions and ballistae now waited for the appearance of enemy officers to cope with the choke points in her defenses. She had few qualms about picking them off. In this battle confusion was also her ally... as the effects of the fog would strain the enemy's command and control while her own defensive architecture remained simple.
[2018/02/25 20:46] Myr'Avin Baen'Rret (turalyon.lapis): seeming, and opportunistically, seems to emerge from the forest through the fog upon the various soldiers that were all a bustle with the events of the night, the shadowed assassin of Sylvhara inspected his surroundings quickly before speaking from behind his mask..."As much as I hate to say it...the Avariel is right. Why would anything like this happen without the shadowed hand of Comet being involved before hand?"...he spoke almost arrogantly as he made his way past the Paladin, smirking broadly behind his mask as his dark violet eyes made contact with the Blue Elf's..."Besides...You are doing this all wrong/"
[2018/02/25 20:47] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): hands the sylvan sodlier's head to a guard as he steps into the caves. He hisses to those that follow him, "The Sylvan's have attacked! Get to the surface and aid our allies!" Then turns to the others, "Ready yourselves! Your leaders will get with you soon enough."
[2018/02/25 20:49] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): nods to Faulkes as he was in agreement to this, and responds through though back to the Archmage..."I will send word to both Ondine, and Zoskia to send them out."...his gaze turning to the mysterious Drow that appeared from the forest suddenly, and shakes his head slightly at him..."At least you are sensible, when it suits you..."
[2018/02/25 20:50] Guppy Tierbal: brings himself lower for a better view through the trees what was going on, his eyes darting to each of the figures he can spot while focusing some on the scents in attempts to ascertain just what was transpiring, tensing his muscles to hold his body steady within the air while feeling a great unease with the smell of blood speaking only to himself in hisses and clicks "filki svabol bloodshed transpires mrith pazienra shafaer wer lands ekess cause mishun gewjlei?"
[2018/02/25 20:52] Pelinor Aurotharius: waggles Goblin General Zhukov's tome at Myr... "This says otherwise." With some satisfaction she noted the Mage's efforts, simply asking for their involvement would have elicited endless dithering and debate with Ithryn... she was well aware of the cat herding Faulkes lamented. This was so much easier she mused wryly. In the skys above Sylvhara and Taure Ru were well matched, heros would have local victories in the air but the overall battle would be determined on the ground over the comming week as events unfolded.
[2018/02/25 20:53] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): has no idea to whom that last comment was directed (because he has yet to see the dark one), but shakes it off and continues to peer through the fog waiting for the Undead Horde. He menatlly catalogues the spells useful against the Undead, and grumbles at having to cast necromancy.
[2018/02/25 20:53] Colby Lykin: A shift in the air snaps the large black wolf out of his focus on the hunt. Saliva drips hungrily from his lips, fangs glint in the cool Ruvian light. Claws grip the soil as he lifts his shaggy mane to the winds. A sniff of the air, and the familiar elements spring to life around the Arch Druid of Taure Ru. Life and death marched on the lands. Strings of saliva drip hungrily from the wolves gaping maw. A low growl begins deep in his belly, ending in a haunting howl that echoes across the lands, cold as the north winds. Chilling to the bone.
[2018/02/25 20:53] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): turns another page, having carefully translated the cramped and hard to read text. Several bees landed on the edge of her desk, the hum of their wings drawing her notice. "miye my small friends, what word do you bring?" She listen carefully to what they had to say. "Tell me of those you saw there?"
[2018/02/25 20:56] Myr'Avin Baen'Rret (turalyon.lapis): walks near the cannons as he traces a gloved finger over the black barrel of the weapon..."I do love bloodshed..."...he pauses to inhale the scent of the gunpowder, and then cocked his head at the blue Elf..."Killing should be...personal. You should be able to look whop you kill in the eyes..."...his gruff voice almost bubbling with a dark excitement as he turned back to her..."If the General does not wish to ask for my help...I will do things my own way..."...he strides past Pelinor with a confident swagger, his steps were eerily silent even for those walking on the soft soil of the forest, and he turned his attention to the Archmage of Sylvhara..."I am sure you can smell the stench of undeath from over the water...Doesn't this thrill you?"
[2018/02/25 20:59] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): gives the Dark One a sidelong glance. "I can taste Magister Vaurk's magic. 'Thrill doesn't exactly describe the feeling I have. I only wonder why we are here at all --- as if we don't already have enough trouble."
[2018/02/25 21:01] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): eyes grew unfocused as she reached out with her mind to contact the males whose impressions she had received from the bees dance. *Faulkes, Nifredil, what is going on? Are we at war now?*
[2018/02/25 21:04] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): lowers his head slightly as he hovers in the air over the cannons still..."Seems that we are."...his eyes open as he listens to the Assassin below, shaking his head at him as he seems to be showing his true colors in the midst of chaos..."We are allowing Atal Maru to manipulate us into destroying ourselves..."...he continued to connect to the two other Mages through their mind speak
[2018/02/25 21:04] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): withdraws his focus back to himself as he recieves Cia;s message. "I'm not sure this is war, yet. But, a battle brews. A few fae archers in reserve might be helpful. I take it that Peli hasn't ordered any?"
[2018/02/25 21:09] Trinity Heir: The drow female--a dark figure in the dark office--sits with her fingers steepled, considering the damage reports that have come in and tallying her resources. Her nose wrinkles at the mingled scent of dead fish, sewer, water and undead. "Jaluk," she tells her lieutenant, "get word to all our associates and employees to prepare. We will definitely need the special supplies. Crossbow bolts for everyone, grappling hooks, poison. This is not the time to hold back." She watches her leave, her brow furrowing as she sips her wine and wishes...so very silently...for a nice large glass of dark beer.
[2018/02/25 21:09] Trinity Heir: *him leave**
[2018/02/25 21:09] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): [The {npc} soldiers of Qu'ellar Og'elend move to the borders, armed and ready for battle, to back up Vaurk's undead horde]
[2018/02/25 21:10] Vaurk Ort: takes to the air and soars over the legions of Sylvan soldiers, taking in a better view of their opponents before turning back to a Myder rooftop.. Landing there he transforms back to his common form with a clear picture of the enemy frontline in his mind. He turns his sight to the shadowplane and penetrates the crumbling minds of a pair of skeletal warriors which he had previously armed each with a corrupted crystal vial,. "My faithful minions.. bring these gifts to the soldiers of the light.. for they must be tired standing there in the long cold of night". The pair of them each step forward and right off the cliff into the thick of the fog, disappearing into the night with only a faint splash to be heard..
[2018/02/25 21:10] Jaydianna Spellhunter: locks the Sylvan in the cell and slowly climbs her way onto the roof to get an accurate gage of the battle and what is going on. After glancing around for a moment she slides herself back down and decides to head down to see if she can aid her guild in anyway and make sure that Uma is safe.
[2018/02/25 21:12] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): mental voice chilled slightly, *was she sporting several arrows? If not, then no, for they are not hers to command. I will speak with those of the guard as I still have not been able to contact Juni. Do you need me there now?* she looked back to the bees, "Please return to Aria and tell her that I am seeking Juni and the fae guard. If Taure Ru holds to their normal course they will send the undead, and the fae will not suffer them to be in this land" She rose, gathering the papers and books and putting them safely away as she took out several large crystals, and began preparation for battle.
[2018/02/25 21:13] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic): returns to his office to pen several missives, each one disappearing into a burst of flame as he sends them on their way. He then looks to one of his remaining guards, "Find my crow...."
[2018/02/25 21:14] Pelinor Aurotharius: was content as initial events unfolded predictibly, the 'hedgehogs' braced for Taure Ru's initial efforts and she received final reports from her field captains as they went about their duties. Tomorrow she would meet with the forces near the Elen line, the cavaliers... knights and rangers. She had personally trained most of their officer corps and both the knights and rangers had excellent commanders in Dishan, Kaella, Ithilethiel and others... these had the operational flexibility to act once the conventional Ruvian forces made appearance. In the meantime they sat astride the approaches to Sylvhara Elen as events unfolded.
[2018/02/25 21:14] Emerald Morningstar (vvitchy): 's ears perk up toward the river, she had heard what sounded like a very faint splash. Quickly she summons her staff to her. Taking deep regular breathes she pulls on her mana, her mind's eye seeing it as a roiling ball of energy within her.
[2018/02/25 21:15] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): gestures at the cocky assassin. "You: Keep an eye open for your drowish brethern just yonder there, north of that tree. We will want to direct them northward if we can."
[2018/02/25 21:18] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): inhales sharply as he looks back down to the Paladin, and lets out a long drawn out sigh..."I will leave the weather like this for now, and make my way to Ithryn..."...the Avariel quickly heads to the east into Elen, nearly pushing the door to the Mage's guild off its hinges as he enters the nearly empty hall..."And a simple message to inform them that the Invictus Mages must mobilize..."...leaving an Arcane Rune upon the air over the desk of the Guild Master he would leave a message for her for when she next graced her office *due to the less than intelligent actions of our General, and Pelinor we required the assistance of the Battle Mages of Invictus. I leave his message for you as a report of mobilizing them to work with the Arcane Warriors to defend the norther most entrance to Taure Ru from Sylvhara."...once the spell was finished, he turned his back on the floating rune of power to dispense orders appropriately.
[2018/02/25 21:19] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): setting the crystal on her alchemy bench, she begins to gather the ingredients she needs, her jar of mixed pixie dust, collected over time from events held the fae great hall and cavern. It was a lovely blend of colors and of so very many fae. Fae from all the courts of all the lands. The bits of ground amethyst, silver and salt that she ground and mixed together. She ran her fingers along the crystal, perfect for putting a spell into.
[2018/02/25 21:20] Vaurk Ort: ((Thanks for the fun, Peli! ;7]
[2018/02/25 21:22] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): become ever more tense as time staggers forward. The fog, and The Fog, fills his lungs and his anger rises. The mana he'd already gather strains to be released. Finally, he forms some mana into a spell of seeing, one to detect the forms of the living nearby, and releases it over the borderlands...
[2018/02/25 21:23] Aria Kaze (yfandes): holds her hand out as her messenger approaches, watching carefully as it dances Acacia's message on her palm. "Fae guard... Juni...." a crease forms between between her brows and her eyes darken as she realizes that she has not seen her sister Juni in some time. "Search out Juni, little soldier, and send word to the Fae Guard, they are needed."
[2018/02/25 21:23] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): It was time to begin. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, taking the time to center herself and her energies, focusing on closing her own personal magic down. For this working, she wished to use only the energies of the weave and the elements, adding nothing of herself. With her right hand she reached to the weave taking the strands into her hand, With her left, she opened it, asking the elements to come to her aid.
[2018/02/25 21:24] Myr'Avin Baen'Rret (turalyon.lapis): smirks at Faulkes as he casually commanded him..."I watch out for my own, Archmage. Just so happens that you, and the land of Sylvhara are 'my own'"...he continued past the Half Elf toward Taure Ru, the dense fog staring to wrap around the dark figure..."The Uncrowned will do their job, and you will likely not hear about it..."...as he nears the crest of the river bank he would fully vanish from sight of everyone in the area, delving into the shadows that he finds much comfort in, and goes to work as he passes into Taure Ru undetected
[2018/02/25 21:26] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): placing one hand on each of the crystals in turn she brought her focus to it and then slowly touched the ingredients laid out before her.
[2018/02/25 21:27] Vaurk Ort: The two skeletal warriors, now each on their own separate path, quietly emerge from the water and scramble up the cliff on all fours.. not slow and lumbering like one might think but shockingly quick.. with haste they make their way through the bushes and tall grass, all drenched in fog. As they make their approach the outlines of the general's ranks of soldiers, standing shoulder to shoulder becomes clearer and clearer.. With their respective targets in sight they no longer skulk in the bushes but leap into a full sprint on all fours toward the soldiers, the tainted vials clinched in their teeth
[2018/02/25 21:33] Trinity Heir: The drow female slips from her office and pulls a hood up over her head, seeking a bit of quiet and a chance to reconnoiter. She picks up a selection of useful supplies on her way and moves to the shadows, finding her own path out of Myder. She moves totally silent along the paths and at a dark spot slips silently across the river (no matter how deep) and thence into Sylvhara.
[2018/02/25 21:33] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): Into the green, her lips turning up in a wry smile, She wove a call to the very plants, that any were touched by this beam would find the plants of the earth rising up against them. Into the blue, she wove the power of water, the light would strike them with the power of a wave crashing over them. Each of the six crystals received this same spell Once they were done, she released the power of the weave and the elements with a flick of her hands.
[2018/02/25 21:34] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): should know better than to try to command drow, and huffs in irritation. And yet, the Dark One goes out on his reconaisance, regardless, and the mage can concentrate on his count of the living and the direction they are moving. So far, he only notes the drow. Most of the residents of myder have evacuated. Where are the troops of Klavnork? Too far away. Then, something begins to disrupt the order of Peli's troops to his left.
[2018/02/25 21:35] Colby Lykin: The very earth beneath the seasoned druid's dark paws wove for him the tale of what unfolded below. The air sang to him the glories of battles to come. Black claws dig deep into the soil. Tendrils of dark druid energy begin to flow slowly through the lands.
[2018/02/25 21:35] Aria Kaze (yfandes): turns toward the ranks of soldiers, the melody of death approaching roiling within the song of the land. Swiftly dropping to the ground near the only one she knows with any power she touches the Archmage's shoulder and points "Death approaches"
[2018/02/25 21:36] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): turns about. "From where? Left?" He points.
[2018/02/25 21:37] Myr'Avin Baen'Rret (turalyon.lapis): follows the bank of the river as he sees two larger skeletal warriors emerge from from water amidst the fog, and he quickly changed his course to follow the two through the shadows behind them both. As they two began their sprint toward two soldiers on the outskirts of the uniform ranks the Assassin quickly moves through the shadows, appearing as close to one of them as he can he attacks with Ulaks drawn, and out of a shadowy smoke he latches on to one of the two warriors with one blade piercing the ragged plate armor on its chest; while the other pierces through the skull. Though the skeleton does not seem to be slowing in its advance the Drow wrenches hard on his daggers to force the undead to the ground to start, and then begins to dismantle the being as the other is able to ambush the Sylvan Sooldier
[2018/02/25 21:37] Kaella (kaella.coy): Scanning the river border, Kaella spots a flicker of movement to the south. She turns and draws her bowstring. Her eyes widen as she spots the skeletons. She fires at the nearest one, knowing she only has one shot before she loses them in the treeline.
[2018/02/25 21:38] Aria Kaze (yfandes): points toward the swiftly moving figures that appeared out of the bushes, only to move toward the gathered soldiers "Those two... "
[2018/02/25 21:42] Trinity Heir: A dark figure hunkers down in the fog, watching silently the action on the Sylvhara side, clinging to the shadows.
[2018/02/25 21:42] Vaurk Ort: The skeletal warrior ambushed by the drow rogue lets loose a shrill howl before tumbling to the ground in a pile of dust, his skull impacting a stone, shattering the vial clinched within it's teeth.. The second skeleton finds no such obstacle between him and his target and crashes into the soldiers with all of his might, smashing the vial and just as the the first one, it's corrupt contents flow down into the soil below and disappear in a puff of dark purple mist..
[2018/02/25 21:44] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): focuses on the skeletal figures which are shortly joined by a third, warm figure. "Are you armed, Aria? If not, I suggest you get airborne." He then shouts to the soldiers to beware, and prepares a fireball. The soldier not in the direct line of fire scramble backwards, and the mage has a clear view of the rising purple mist.
[2018/02/25 21:46] Myr'Avin Baen'Rret (turalyon.lapis): rises off the pile of dust that was once a Seletal Warrior in time to see the vial crash into the ground..'No time to meddle in the affairs of Mages..' ..he thought to himself as he quickly sheaths his Ulaks, his head whirls around to catch a glimpse of the Ranger Lord od Sylvhara before he fades away once again into the shadows as he begins his infiltration of Taure Ru
[2018/02/25 21:47] Aria Kaze (yfandes): drops the glamourie on her bow as she takes to the air, drawing an arrow from the quiver and taking aim.
[2018/02/25 21:48] Trinity Heir: The dark figure--hood up--watches intently. She sees a purple mist rise and watches to see what it will do, thinking that perhaps this is the first attack by the undead soldiers upon the forces of Sylvhara.
[2018/02/25 21:49] Briar (briardarkthistle): frowns knowing he can be of little use in the fog covered battle below, takes flight soaring as hi as he can and swings around south over the open ocean before circling around into taure ru unseen in the distance. finding a secluded wood to land he calls a Glamour to disguise himself and moves off towards MYder to see what he can find out.
[2018/02/25 21:49] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal): members of the fae guard arrive at the front, bows drawn and battle ready. the air i filled with the sound of their wings. (NPCs)
[2018/02/25 21:52] Jaydianna Spellhunter: stands watch over her Sylvan prisoner with Alton after explaining what is going on to one of the guards in hopes he can rally more to the defense of the town.
[2018/02/25 21:54] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): watches as, one by one, the soldiers seem to lose their strength.
[2018/02/25 21:58] Nifredil Evael (andel.sandalwood): leaves the Ithryn Hall after rallying the Battle Mages of Invictus, his Arcane Warriors were already forming up to head out to the northern gate of Tari when he had heard the sounds of anguish coming from the battlefield..."Set up outside the fog, and do not enter under any circumstances. Do you understand?"...he looks to his captain directly as she affirms his order, and leads both groups into the forest of Tari to meet the other troops
[2018/02/25 22:02] Trinity Heir: The dark figure in the woods watches the troops pass through and carefully hunkers lower down, her eyes watchful. Any solo straggler, anyone that separates from the group to answer a call of nature, might well never rejoin his group in the darkness and instead rest on the forest floor with the mark of a garrotte around his throat. Before dawn, she would slip back across the river to the Myder side.
[2018/02/25 22:03] Kaella (kaella.coy): arrived in time to see Faulkes trying to fall back and makes a beeline for him to help pull him clear if needed
[2018/02/25 22:03] Rey Outlander (reyevan.outlander): After calling to arms all that I could I turn back and fly back to Myder. Seeing the movement of more troops I let lose with several warning shoots of breath. Hoping to keep the extra forces back.
[2018/02/25 22:04] Aria Kaze (yfandes): watches from the air as the front line soldiers drop and the Archmage staggers away from the mist. Hovering as still as she can, she draws upon her connection to the World Song and begins to sing, calling the winds that are her own element to keep the mist from moving any further toward the gathered troops.
[2018/02/25 22:06] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): clings to Kaella as he helps him out of the purple mist. "It's void magic," he gasps. "This area might not be healthy for a while. I'm afraid a hole has been opened in Peli's plan; the undead will rule here."
[2018/02/25 22:06] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): *Kaella is a She.
[2018/02/25 22:09] Aria Kaze (yfandes): drops lower toward Faulkes and the lady who is helping him, in time to hear his words. "Can the magic be stopped? I can keep the mist at bay for a little while, but it sucks at my energy and I don't know if I can dissipate it"
[2018/02/25 22:11] Kaella (kaella.coy): glances back at the deadly mist, "This fog is making it hard to watch the border. I didn't spot the damned things in time." she growls. Once clear, she takes a breath and draws energy from the earth, pushing it outward to bolster the mage's stamina, "How badly did you get it? Do you need a healer?"
[2018/02/25 22:12] Vaurk Ort: would grin, chuckling quietly to himself as his plan worked as well as he could have hoped..
[2018/02/25 22:14] Rey Outlander (reyevan.outlander): sees a group of leaders talking and lets lose a blast of fire knowing full well the effects it can have on the flesh of a person. At the least in hopes of driving them further back.
[2018/02/25 22:15] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): shakes his head. "It was created by a mage greater than I, the Black Magister I would assume. Still it should disspate on it's own, eventually, but I don't know how long that will be. As for myself, I'm in no danger, just light-headed. If you can, you can probably pull those affected out of the area if you're quick enough."
[2018/02/25 22:17] Aria Kaze (yfandes): looks at Sable and then at the other lady "I think that could be done easily enough." putting the arrow away and slinging her bow across her back, she wings toward the front line and grabs two of the soldiers by their tunics and pulls them back away from the mist.
[2018/02/25 22:24] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): gathers what strength he has and casts a bubble of levitation. He is able to lift and float two soldiers at a time, and pull them away from the Void magic.
[2018/02/25 22:26] Rey Outlander (reyevan.outlander): Seeing the trees block my attack frustrates me. I turn and fly off looking for some troops of our own to help or maybe a leader to help.
[2018/02/25 22:26] Kaella (kaella.coy): snarls and refrains, for now, from sending an armor-piercing arrow toward the dragon and concentrates on the soldiers. Drawing more energy in she using it to dart forward in the blink of an eye. She grabs a pair of soldiers by the back of their armor and drags them back toward safety with much grunting. She was fast, not particularly strong.
[2018/02/25 22:26] Aria Kaze (yfandes): continues to pull soldiers back from the magickal mist, while hovering above it and reinforcing her wind to keep it from advancing.
[2018/02/25 22:32] Vaurk Ort: ((Thanks again everyone.. great RP tonight ;D
[2018/02/25 22:34] Colby Lykin: As the tendrils of the druids energy reach select trees scattered among the dark forests along the Ruvian border, branches begin to stir among them. Twisting and clawing within the dark shadows of the fog, they creak and groan, ready to lash and impale any invaders not of this land who were unfortunate enough to venture too close to their thorny reach. Roots twist under the soil, thirsty for the spilling of fresh blood.
[2018/02/25 22:40] Kaella (kaella.coy): 's repeated forays into the mist left her exhausted and she whistled for her Phoenix, Miko. Within minutes she heard his cry and she held up her arm for him. He, of course, ignored it and landed on her head. She let out a long suffering sigh and let her arm drop, "Every time ..." she mutttered. "Miko, go rouse the rangers still at the hall and let them know they are needed on the border. We need to tighten things up." The phoenix nibbled at her hair for a moment then quorked and took off. He disappeared in a flash of flame and Kaella settled in to a good hiding spot with a view of the river to wait for her relief.
[2018/02/25 22:43] Luna Knight (lunaculto): stares into the flames of the campfire as she waits, their light dancing in her eyes as she reaches a hand out toward them, watching them grow beneath it. "My friend...you will taste the blood of our enemies soon enough..." Then looks to her spiders, "If you have venom, now is your chance to enjoy the taste of those who seek to bring harm to our Elderwoods."
[2018/02/25 22:47] Aria Kaze (yfandes): lets go of the soldier she is assisting from the front line and drops to the ground, the power of the void magick finally draining her hold on the winds. Looking up, she sees that most of the soldiers have been pulled back from the dangerous mist and it doesn't seem to be moving any further forward. Looking up at the ranger lady, she gives a grateful nod, gathers her remaining energy and takes to the sky to wend her way home.

*******Baelwhelar has called forth the beast of the depths he found long ago. Who can guess*******
****After offering the beast the prisoners. Bael took a detachment of troops to the border and lead a massive push against the piled forces there. Losing many good men and women. Yet killing as well. Covered in gore he spread the silver circle and set a protection from good around it. The spell and it's casting at the height of battle would last four days. It could be dispelled by the right person. Messages can be sent to Bael or your guild leader on how. So the pile of Sylvan bodies inside the circle can be laid to proper rest. Other wise they continue to rot. *****
***Cannons able to launch six hundred pound ammunition have been brought into Myder. Ready to repel any further sea attacks along with the Kraken summoned up from the depths. *****

************THIS IS WAR*************
Baelwhelar: Moved down into Myder to begin inspecting the damage of the ships there. Assessing the bridge with druids and engineers. "Let us get word to Master Colby. He can repair these damages. As he moved towards the coasts. "It is past time this was to happen,"
Baelwhelar: Gathered the spy glass to hunt these invaders in the waters. "So the sylvans wish to fire the first blows. Have the men bring the Basilica." he ordered the four twenty seven inch barrel cannons moved down to Myder. As he scanned the horizons.
Baelwhelar: He knew it would takes hours to move the six hundred pound ammunition down to mydar yet they could easily fire a mile. Able to keep the ships well at bay from the coast. Unable to locate the ships at the moment with the low laying fog. He growled and snarled.
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) the crystals lay read except for the triggering spell. She wondered what should be the trigger. She certainly did not wish any Sylvharan to be effected by them. Should be be for the undead? For outsiders, those not of this land? She ran her fingers along the smooth plane of the crystal as she thought.
Baelwhelar: His crimson orbs gleamed in the fog bright like the undead surrounding him guarding the borders. Sliding and moving his way to the waters edge. His eyes began to gleam even brighter as energy began to flow from him. His dark charcoal colored hand reached up to grasp his holy symbol. Dark energy began to swirl around him. tendrils of smoke and dark energy that was palpable in the morning fog. So strong was his pulling on energy any with in a mile would feel the dark evil of it. He seethed with power. Radiating off him in waves. "My god I ask your blessing to locate the creature of the depths. Guardian of our borders. " his sight began to flow out from him. Still aware of his surroundings yet ... into the water his sight traveled. Not far did it have to travel either. For it was not long before he found the creature he sought. The Kraken. Guardian and destroyer here in Taure Ru.
Baelwhelar: It sat fat from the ships it had sunk traveling off the borders of Taure Ru. Many a pirate and merchant had learned the failure of not offering gifts to the beast. "Bring the prisoners?" sending energy to the creature. Letting it know something was amiss. Awaiting the thirty men that might be guilty. To be brought down.
Baelwhelar: turned to the master bard Elina. "If you have a death march play it now for the Sylvans. For I am now personally going to start this war in full." he growled
Kessy (kestrel69): *the great green dragon Vatra Rothus crotched upon the rooftops of Myder, craning her long neck about to observe the happenings, eyes narrowing. She saw no reason to interrupt the drama going on as it was entertaining enough by itself, but she was not going to let it get too out of hand should it threaten her own territory. Her gaze followed the commotion out to sea ands the stirring there
Elina Svendóttir (ellerochelle) nodded her head as Baelwhelar spoke she allowed a low hum to play along the breeze, the air whirling and pooling at her feet where her kemence appeared. Lifting it up she curled, tightening the bow strings around her fingers, pulling them taut before laying them over the strings of her beloved. She began playing a low, mournful tune, welcoming in the demise of the light. Parting her lips she spoke softly, her words carrying along the air "Taure Ru is at the ready to stand behind you, General."
Baelwhelar: It did not take long before the prisoners bound to each other by chains were brought before the paladin. His eyes still seething. "Attack my lands will you" he snarled and then kicked the nearest prison as hard as he could towards the water. Launching him into the cold sea. Instantly tentacles reached out from the waters to grasp at the chain of thirty prisoners all attached to one another. The Drow's voice screamed out. "Feast and know Sylvan Ships are off the coast. Enjoy your meals. " then he turned to the Sylvan bridge. "As soon as those cannons are armed and in place. Fire. At every thing in range. Even Ranger patrols. Kill every thing you see that even resembles a Sylvan. "
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) sighed, This was war. It should be for all outside of this land and her allies. Gathering the combined magics of arcane and divine, she turned her attention to the crystals, setting the trigger to be when any not of Sylvahara and her allies came within 10 meters of them, the rays of light would spring forth as she set the spell the previous evening.
Baelwhelar: "Lady Elina I go to kill Sylvans. " he glanced at the guards. "Any Sylvan patrols come near. Shoot them, fire at them with fire balls. I have something quite devious planned. Yet I need the Lord Eecho. For now sylvan blood might sate me."
Kessy (kestrel69): *the dragon watched the feeding of the water beast unfold with clinical detachment. The lives of hominids meant nothing to her and she had seen war unfold before but this seemed different, as if she were on the verge of witnessing a genocide. Whimsically Vatra Rothus mused to herself. Would she get involved, or merely pick over the fallen corpses once the chaos had abated. She was undecided still."
Elina Svendóttir (ellerochelle) glanced up from her playing for but a moment, her form would seem to flicker as she split from herself an illusory double. While she remained playing the song that would instill fear in any Sylvhan, and inspire all Ruvians her intangible double spoke "The war is merely at it's beginning, allow none of the blood spilled to be yours, the Kingdom needs you and will for the time to come. If you get to him before I do, Commander Dishan, lay him at my boots. He betrayed what little trust I have for those people."
Baelwhelar: "So shall it be, I mean to pile the bodies. Let Queen Comet know her mistake. " he snarled and moved to the border with a troop. Casting death ward and protection from good on himself before reading to cross.
Elina Svendóttir (ellerochelle) nodded her head she grinned "Dark Paths General, I still owe you wine. Perhaps a toast to your victory!" moving back toward her playing self, she stepped in, forming back as one. Inhaling deeply as she returned, she ended her song, tossing the kemence in to the wind, it vanishing. "The Sylvhans who dare enter will know despair like no other. And for my mere amusement, they will dance for me. For what they have done."
Baelwhelar: Does not even hesitate at all merely begins to charge right across the border into the Sylvan troops there at the vanguard of his contingent. His magical weapon laying waste to sylvans at every swing of his blade till he was so covered in blood it was hard to tell if it was his or theirs. ( D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Baelwhelar rolled a 75 on a d100.) To defeat first waves.
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) took the crystal and flew to the border, glamouring herself to blend into her surroundings, In the heavy fog that Nifredil had cst over the border, she would appear little more than a wisp or tendril of fog.
Baelwhelar: Slowly the sylvan push began to find ground. The troops pressing him and his own troops back towards the border. He felt stings on his body and armor from fine crafted Sylvan weapons. As the fighting grew even hotter. Even bloodier.
Baelwhelar: D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Baelwhelar rolled a 29 on a d100.))
Baelwhelar: His white hair which often shone as a beacon on the battlefields against the Illithid, of which he had beheaded so many now he lost count. Was matted stuck to him in odd places red with the blood that he spilled this day. As he snarled and began to charge his troops forwards once more. A large surge forward into the sylvan borders. Arrow fire and weapons dancing all over the current field of battle. His voice sang out to his god of battle. Each killing blow a glorious moment and boon to his god. Each offered as a sacrifice to war and battle. His dark energy grew even more as the ground ran red in blood. The sign his god was fully with him as the Drowish battle lust overcame him completely. ( D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Baelwhelar rolled a 77 on a d100.) pushing the Sylvans back even deeper into their forests. So much so that they were starting to back off and re-group. Sending runners it seemed to pull more troops from other places.
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) the fae guard noticing the her arrival flew back to hover over her as she set the spelled crystal into the soil and fed it with power from the elements, She felt the powers of water and earth spring to her, as if they resented the undead that tried to invade the lands. The sound of battle was all around, Clerics tending to wounded as best they could. The archers of the fae guard darting in and out of the cover of the trees to shoot death down from above. This spell took time, but she closed the sounds of war out and focused on setting the spelled crystal into place and giving it a power source to work from. D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Acacia Rose rolled a 28 on a d100.
Baelwhelar: raised his dark blood stained weapon, ordering in Drowish for the troops to hold the ground they had taken into Sylvan borders. Forming a U shape with shields and lances in front. "Get these bodies together quickly. Their main forces will be here soon." knowing the capabilities of the Sylvans from years of war with them. "Hurry form them up into a pile here inside the formations. noticing a few enforcements began arriving. ( D100 Dice Hud Local Version: Baelwhelar rolled a 77 on a d100.) to hold their position current. ) Noting more fae beginning to enter the fray with archers and magic. He shook his head to his troops. His eyes seethed. As the bodies were piled up. Arranged so they would be noticed.
Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) felt the elements begin to feed the crystal with their power, it would now continue to work the spell until destroyed. She closed the spell, but retained the hold of the magics, She looked at the battle before her, and the forces that were coming against them with such fierceness. She was torn, should she stay and aid in this battle or should she move on to the other roads in. A low rumble of the ground told her that troops were moving up, but she was unsure how close they were. drawing her bow, she lifted from the ground, looking about to see if she could see them.
Baelwhelar: With the corpse pile in place in full view of the borders. He moved what was left of his troops back across the border. The first message having been sent. It was time for the next. He had the gates sealed once more and readied for defense. He as no sure what orders had been given the undead so paid them no mind. Troops in Taure Ru could always be replaced with ease with Vaurk around. So he slowly began making his way to the Citadel. Not even bothering to wash the sylvan blood from his body. "Send For Bard Elina" he told a page that was trying to tail him to the keep. "Let her know I would speak to her"

---The Fog of War: Common Folk and Song--
(Laeron travels about Slyvhara, avoiding Tari, and
looks for groups of farmers, refugees, weavers and
commoners in general. He actively avoids any obvious
troops, as he does not wish to actively engage in conflict))
Laeron, after hearing tell of what had occured in the time
he was gone, and then being awoke by the thunderous sound
of cannons in the distance, went and began to speak to the
people in the land.
Upon hearing and seeing the fear, hate, worry, and many other
emotions in the faces of the farmers, the cooks, the everyday
people, whom those who started this conflict seemed to be
indifferent to, he began to quietly seethe himself.
There were those he cared about, on both sides of the border.
There were those he worried may fall in the coming conflict.
But upon hearing tell that the Slyvharan's had launched the
first strike, against a populace, rather than individuals,
it brought his blood to a boil.
One of the principles he held most dear, aside from telling tales
and recounting lore.. was to speak up against percived wrongs,
to lampoon and lambaste the high when they forgot about the low,
reguardless of the consequences to himself.
After leaving the Lion's head, seeing the quiet of the square,
everyone seemingly shut up in their homes, no children playing,
no young people out for a mindnight walk... he could almost
taste the miasma.
The brief discussion he had had with Malada resonated in his mind.
He wanted to be of help, to those he cared for. He would not
directly fight in the war, as he felt it was aborrhent,
and a distraction, perhaps fatal against what he considered
the greater threat.
He moves to the portal to Aluvia.. and upon arriving, goes to his
desk, and puts quill to parchment, the words flowing out of him.
Satsified with his song, simple, easily remembered, and with
a good tune. Something the common folk may latch onto.
Thinking of both the Slyvharan and Ruvian leaders, his face
twists a moment in a disgusted expression. They are the ones
responsible for the suffering and the bloodshed to come, he
thinks. They are the ones who either ordered the attacks,
or failed to prevent them.
And such leaders are no leaders at all, in his mind. He could
see the value of such thing if there was a gain, but he could
not see such a thing in the current conflict. Perhaps he was
not aware, he was sure he was not aware, in fact, of the motivations.
But actions spoke louder than words, in this case.
His mind drifts to the people of Myder.. a human settlement.
On the "wrong" side of the border, but still, he is half human.
And he has played for many there, shared a drink, a song.
"Madness and suffering and blood" Laeron whispers to himself.
He rests, and then, on the dawn goes about the land, singing
his new song. Speaking to the commoners, the forgotten ones,
in his mind. Reminding them that they, to him, are at least
important.
He uses no magic, does not tap into the Worldsong to influnence
them. To do so would defeat his purpose. He thinks they have
been victims enough, of a machine grinding them away, without
thought.
He smiles, tired, after his tour. Surely there are some who
have heard his words, and taken them to heart. And surely,
there are others who have heard them and think them seditious,
and he almost expects, given his experiences with the law
and justice in Slyvhara, to be arrested, exiled or executed.
"Let them come" he says, softly, as he walks through the doors
of the Lion's Head, to perform his song again, drum under his
arm.
((Laeron's Song he is singing in the lands.))
(Set to the Song "Savages" by Jim Cummings, from the
Pochahontas Soundtrack.)
What can you expect,
from those in their towers,
They look down on us from above!
They are all well fed,
They all sleep in golden beds,
They are the commoner's curse!
They are out of touch!
Out of touch!
Hardly even aware
Out of touch! Out of touch!
Call them down from the high,
They do not care for us,
which means care not for them
The bloodshed must come to an end!
They are out of touch!
Out of touch!

Fog of War--- Personal Loyalties and Asking Politely
((Laeron leaves the Lions Head, makes it to the North Bridge in Tari, speaks with the guards, then Elina, Chief Bard of Ru, and Lord Eecho. Somehow, he is not killed on the spot, and is now in Ru, planning on helping the common folk, and checking on those he considers friend.))
Laeron Orvir heads out the door of the Lions Head, and makes his way quickly to retrieve his leathers. He does not wear them often... and caresses the smooth, yet worn hide, as he digs them out, sighing that is is time again to don them...
He dons his leathers, and then moves slowly out to Tari, his mind
heavy with thought. Stopping a passing farmer, he asks about what
is going on in the fields. After a few minutes of coaxing, he learns the
North Bridge is heavily defended on the Ruvian side, but almost bare
on this side of the Tari, as far as living troops.
He observes for a while, then when he sees a gap, strolls up to the bridge, as if he were confident. He was far from it.
Laeron moves over the North bridge, after noting after a bit of scouting, and speaking with the common folk, that it seemed to be much clearer. Passing a glowing crystal, he sees his path clear to the bridge...and takes a deep breath, steadying himself, but his hand shaking, and moves forward calling out the the gatehouse, hands raised above his head. "Greetings!" he calls out, in a clear, and suprising even himself, steady voice, seeing the undead and regular troops manning the area, not stepping onto the bridge proper."Could I speak to your leader, if you would be so kind?" And he waits.
Elina Svendóttir summoned by the guards in Myder marched through the fog laden land of Taure Ru to head to the gated bridge. Pointing the guard said "Is that one of yours?" Squinting she moved through the barricade to get a better look "Who in the nine hells dare try making passage with my name and expect to live?" she calls out.
Laeron pulls his hood down, grinning. "Well hello to you too, Elina."
Elina Svendóttir let out an equally exhausted an annoyed sigh "Again, state your intention. I will gladly march you to whomever heads your army and label you an abandoner. This had better be good." she looked to the undead army behind her and lifted a single hand "On my orders only."
Laeron Orvir "Abandoner? I never joined the damn army, and I'm free to go where I please. I'm glad to see you in good health, and I'm quite incensed actually, about the damn attack on Myder. I had nothing to do with that, and you know that too. I came to see if you and others were alive...and to ask of the damage."
Laeron Orvir glances over her shoulder at the figure among the dead.
Eecho Rotaru: Have you come to join us then?
Elina Svendóttir nods her head "Yes, we live, and no I trust not a soul that resides on the other side of the bridge. Hand me a torch I'd gladly burn it all myself." she spit upon the ground "And to think I bothered to send Kaminari papers allow you all free passage through the Kingdom of Taure Ru." she turns to the voice behind her, a dark eyebrow raises "Lord Eecho."
Eecho Rotaru rests a hand on a skeleton and it lowers its weapon a second then hold it forward again. "What is your business here? Again I ask, have you come to join us? To surrender? Defect?"
Laeron Orvir : "Join? And Papers? I saw no such papers. Do you know how much damn trouble it was just to get here?" he bows, quickly to the one she called Lord Eecho. "Greetings, Lord Eecho. I am Laeron, a humble Journeyman Bard, training under Kaminari. But I cannot agree with the attack the Kingdom of Slyvhara made upon Myder."
Laeron Orvir : "I have those I call friends in Ru."
Laeron Orvir : "And I stand with my friends, not with kingdoms."
Elina Svendóttir stands straight looking to Eecho "He is in fact a bard under Kaminari, who will often frequent me for lessons, but I am indeed sadden to see he lacks common sense in any capacity." she turns and looks to Laeron "Silence, or I will do it for you." she scolds
Laeron Orvir looks at Elina, and shakes his head. "You are capable of ending my life... with a word. But silent? You know me better than that, Elina."
Eecho Rotaru grins widely trying a different tactic. "It was terrible wasn't it? Are you seeing now, that all that claims to be good and light is not so? The citizens were traumatized I am sure. But I will leave you to our Chief Bard. I hear her song can make men die laughing or bleed to death from the eyes. Powerful bard that one. Dark paths."
Laeron Orvir : "Dark Paths, Lord Eecho."
Elina Svendóttir nods her head in thanks to Eecho "Dark paths, indeed sir." turning back to Laeron "State your business, now. Or I will indeed do just as he said. I am no longer above it."
Laeron Orvir : "I dont doubt that. As I said, I'm here to offer what help I can, aside from shedding the blood of other friends. I hold no ulterior motive."
Laeron Orvir : "You have ways of determining the truth of my words, yes?"
Elina Svendóttir inhales "I would much rather save my energy." she glances back to the sound of a hiss and looks to one of the guards motioning for them to fetch General Baelwhelar. Looking back to Laeron "If you are in fact here to aid you will take your orders from me. Any bard failing to do their part in Taure Ru is to be brought to me, you will not get the mercy of a mere Ranger, but receive my wrath instead."
Laeron Orvir nods. "As you say. I care little for the method, as long as I can help the ones I consider friend... and the common folk. I will not kill for you, you understand?"
Laeron Orvir meets her eyes. "But I wont stand by and watch you attacked, either."
Elina Svendóttir beckons him to approach "Stand down." she calls to the army at her back before giving Laeron immediate orders "The bards of Taure Ru are being given orders as such. You are to rally those within these lands, instill hope, ensure the troops feel they are invincible at all times. Sing to the dying, bring the peace on their journey. Recount tales you hear, be it truth or grandeur. I will put none of you in direct danger, that is my place. If you attempt at any point to come to my aid, I will end you where you stand."
Laeron Orvir nods, listening to her. "Ease the dying, rally the downtrodden, recount tales, and don't try to save you. As you say."
Elina Svendóttir stepped aside from the spiked barricade "After you Journeyman." she waits for him to pass. As he would walk by she warns "If you attempt anything, and I mean anything, there are men that will make absolute haste to my side. I hope you run fast."
Laeron Orvir laughs, moving through the undead slowly but carefully. "I wouldn't want to get under... their skin." he grins, motioning at a skeleton, careful to avoid stepping on the cat
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *follows the 'trusted' bard*
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *he turns to face me - an albino! I've heard of those, but never come across one in the flesh.....he's as white as I am....and I'm dead!*
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *GOSH what a giant too ! He's massive !*
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *.....no....maybe he's just standing on a hill*
Elina Svendóttir brings her hand up to her face, fingers pinching the bridge of her nose "Laeron, this of no laughing matter, none at all." moving after him she reached her arm out to grab him by the collar, a familiar position to put him in "I have things to do, and babysitting a Journeyman is not one of them. Find Ashlen, or Maxwell, and do not under any circumstances leave their sight unless those words trickle from my lips." she stops a moment and looks to the cat "Perhaps your owner is up in the lower citadel, kitten? The citizens of Myder are safely there."
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *considers, watches the two of them...figures I should call to her, kitty like...does so*
Laeron Orvir smiles. "Oh, I thought you were responsible for me, not maxwell or Ashlen?"
Laeron Orvir holds up a hand.
Laeron Orvir : "However... I will humor you, if it means I can help those of Myder."
нєαтнєя кσяνιηυѕ : *is actually VERY surprised she noticed me ! Must be more than just a bard - more like a royal guard who was...was what... decided to become a bard instead? Who leaves the service to become a bard! ....no....her story has to be more intricate than that... whatever... mind on the events at hand Heather - watch these two*
Elina Svendóttir raises an eyebrow and looks to the cat "You understand as a bard my ability to commune with animals yes? You said 'meow' the actual word 'meow.' I have not the time for the shenanigans of a shifter, or worse." she looks to Laeron "Like I just said, the citizens of Myder are within the lower citadel, safe. There are hold outs, you and Maxwell can handle them right and proper, yes?" she began to move "I will take you to his home."
Laeron Orvir nods.
Elina Svendóttir moves through Myder with Laeron in tow, slinking her way up the stairs to the Dwarf Bard's home she lifts and fist and begins to pound on the door "Maxwell!" she shouts for all of the realms to hear.

Fog of War: A Dulcet Invitation
Elina Svendóttir moved from Myder proper to the fields just behind the village. She neared the river's edge as best she could, still humming her melody as the bards behind her played along. She waited for them to be able to continue playing without her assistance and parted her lips to speak "Perhaps we can entice more of your kin to join us Laeron?" she grinned wickedly, encouraging the bards to play louder, waiting to stir the Sylvhan troops.
Laeron Orvir rolls his eyes. "I've told you twice, i haven't joined anyone. But I am here to help."
Laeron Orvir puts his lips to his pipes, and resumes playing
Star Gazer had been working the troops all morning. As they broke for water and food. Something stirred in the air as she munched on her food and listened a moment. It was soft. Almost melodic. She shook her head What was that? she wondered rising she grabs her gear and heads off the Capitan notices and sends three more after her to make sure she doesn't get into trouble.
Elina Svendóttir continued to wait for approaching troops, lifting a hand she could call for the bards to stop playing, but only a moment. As if conducting them with one hand she took the moment of silence to inhale deeply. She could feel herself one with the world song, the fray of the weave tingling around her. She closes her eyes to take in the moment before commanding the bards to play. Her blue eyes snap open as she parts her lips to sing the favored song of the High Queen of Taure Ru, unfortunately, not one of her own, but never the less effective.
"Come Little Children
I'll Take Thee Away,
Into A Land Of Enchantment
Come Little Children
The Time's Come To Play
Here In My Garden Of Shadows
Follow Sweet Children
I'll Show Thee the Way
Through All The Pain And The Sorrow
Weep Not Poor Children
For Life Is This Way
Murdering Beauty And Passions
Hush Now Dear Children
It Must Be This Way
Too Weary Of Life And Deceptions
Rest Now My Children
For Soon We'll Away
Into The Calm And The Quiet"
-by Brock Walsh, song composed by James Horner, additional lyrics by Unknown artist (possibly Erutan)
Laeron Orvir is drawn into the melody, tapping into the Worldsong himself, lost in the music, drinking in the energy, and pouring it into his melody, gripping his pipes, made of a bit of each Kingdom eyes closed as he lets himself be swept away, feeding into the Chief Bards song.
Star Gazer: The tune carried on the wind and star stopped closing her eyes to listen to it. It was drawing her closer to the source. The men follow her curious and little by little the made their way to the edge of the border. Star hums happily smiling almost being reminded of a specific memory from her past. It was alarmingly calming but she suddenly wasn't panicked or on high alert as she moved.
Elina Svendóttir 's focus and gaze was intently fixed on the Sylvhan border. She could see the rustling movement of the foliage as forms followed forward to her song. She would repeat the song again, her hand gesturing subtly to urge the bardic band behind her to play on. Her song was suggestion and her suggestion was simply to come. The path they took, well...
Laeron Orvir continues to play, swaying back and forth, not fully understanding the power of her Song, yet, but feeling a wild joy in the making of it.
Star Gazer: The first knight stumbled through the brush soon to be followed by the others. Some of them had wide grins upon their faces as the moved one even had a hand outstretched towards her as she sang. The ledge was awfully close now and it didnt take much for the first poor lad to misstep and with a yelp he tumbled into the water still clad in full armor. The rest behind including the general were still staring forward unaware of the plight of the man who had just fell into the drink.
Elina Svendóttir extended her arm outward as she sang, her fluid fingers flicking the air toward her as they beckoned the troops to come. Her sultry, seductive song begged to be met. She watched satisfied as the first fellow fell to his undoubted demise, her hold on him would wear off as soon as he fell. A smirk crept further up her cheeks, how many more would follow?
Laeron Orvir falters, a moment, his eyes opening as he hears a splash, and spots the rest of the people moving across the way, toward the riverbank. He turns his head, still playing, watching Elina... torn between loyalties..
Star Gazer: The second fell this time giving a yelp of surprise as he hit the water the sound a momentary blip in the song making star and the other pause for a moment. Star steps forward closer to the edge the song still full and loud within her ears she doesnt even notice the rushing of the water or the sound of it below. Two more steps and she would be plunged into the icy waters weapons and all. The last knight had sensed something and then suddenly realized as the General took that second step. "General no!" He dashed forward grabbing her wrist as they hung along the border now, the choppy waters turning with whatever might lie below the murky depths.
Elina Svendóttir watches as the second solider sank, smiling with great pride. Finally realizing the General herself was among the troops, she puffed up greatly. As General Star dangled dangerously she couldn't help but break the hold on the song, the weave and laugh loudly. "General no!" she called, mockingly before turning on her toes and walking away from the edge and back further in to Taure Ru, and Myder. "You wanted to stop this, did you not Laeron?" she called behind her as she moved.
Laeron Orvir hears the word General, and peers across the riverbank, noticing not the faceless troops in the war, but Star herself at the edge. He had already crossed a line, here. One he said he would not cross. He may have not been aware... but he was still culpable. Laeron looks again to Elina, and his mind whirls... does he continue, and help the Elina draw Star to her doom? It could end the war, right here, right now.... but then he could never return to his friends. He may not be able to now. Surrounded by the undead.. they could end him..."Damn your eyes, Elina..." he stops playing....as she ends the song. "Your logic..." he looks down into the waters, where the soldiers fell to their deaths, and looks at his pipes, and all the work that went into them, those who helped him make them, and made him who he was...was. He then grins, almost wildly... and tosses the pipes into the river after the corpses, crossing his arms, not playing further, but also not moving to stop Elina, or calling out to Star.
Erirul slipped out of the Underdark, leaving Alton sleeping peacefully. She was feeling on edge ever since she'd spoken with Eecho the previous night. And Colby's words still rang in her head. She needed to fly for a bit...sort this all out. The sounds of conflict drew her attention, the demon turning to fly in that direction...
Star Gazer: The knight began to pull her up as the song stopped her vision cleared. She tried to twist and look about but the knight held firmly to her. "Only me General only look at me right now." She nodded and looked up he had a pained smile on his face and she wondered why he looked so sad. "Just at me general." HE knew the weight of both their bodies wouldn't hold on the ledge and something had to be done. He was a solider and he knew the risks and now he would pay the pipers due. It took star a moment to see the ledge crumbling to notice what he was about to do. "No don't you dare warrior!" She told him wide eyed. "Im sorry general but im just that and you mean more in this war." Turning he pulled with all his might to swing Star up over the edge as the weight shifted the earth and he fell instead of her. "NO!!" she watched in horror as the waves seemed to dash eagerly to drag him down to his watery grave.
Erirul flew lower, just in time to see a knight swing star up and plummet towards the water. She dove down as fast as she could, but stopped as her claws touched the water's surface, too late to catch him. She cursed that she'd come late to this conflict, too late to be of any use. Between Star and Alton it seemed there was always some trouble to be found. The earth itself would get grey hairs at this rate!
Laeron Orvir reaches out, at the last moment.. but it is just a reflex, and watches the tumble to his death as well, and then keens, then laughs a bit wildly, tears streaming down his face. "Star...." his voice shaky, but loud. "Get the hell out of here, and don't follow any more music...." he is shaking, his hands opening and closing..... and turns, slowly, to walk through the undead, bumping into some, seemingly not noticing anything, his eyes distant, tears streaming down his face.
Star Gazer wiped her face but the tears still stung her orange eyes. Why was she hearing Laeron's voice and here of all places? She looked up seeing the figure quite blurry and then heard the words. It was him. She had no time to dwindle on that as an arrow zipped past her head. She needed to move and stumbling slightly she made her way back to her command tent.

Fog of War: A Spy for A Spy
Baelwhelar sat in the swan relaxing for the first time in days. His armor was repaired enough. His blade sharp. He sat a table booted feet on the top to the dismay of Delores. In his hands a small pan flute he turned around in his fingers deep in thought. His crimson eyes were dim at the moment showing his fatigue of the constant engagements. A low hum might be heard from him if one was close enough and listening.
Elina Svendóttir walked casually in to the Black Swan Tavern, she looked around, a few soldiers taking a more than deserved rest. Her gaze finally settled on the General "I heard rumor of a particularly dangerous drow, lurking about through Myder." smiling. The smile drooped slightly in curiosity as she finally heard a sound other than the distinct heartsong of the General "Delores, wine, a bottle. Two cups, clean." looking to Baelwhelar "Care for a bit of company, bit of business?"
Baelwhelar "I am always warm to your company Master Bard" he motioned to a spot near him. His eyes resting upon her and the other that entered. "Vendui, " he said in greeting. As he looked over the Bard. "It is a good thing you are spoken for my lady. " he said with a little of his dry humor. "What can I assist you with?" he asked softly
Elina Svendóttir chuckles as a blush breaks over her cheeks "As are you, General. Not that I need remind you." Moving to the table, she sits opposite the General "And if Ashlen spent more than a few days on land, he might have need to feel threatened." taking in a deep breath she began to speak "Attention, suspicion has been rising lately on the Sylvhan Bard, Laeron. The man who willingly walked across the border asking to enter Taure Ru. He is under very clear understanding that should he cross any lines his death is mine. One would think he would be clever enough not to spy. However I am doubting my instincts with him." she stopped speaking as Delores brought over the wine. Nodding her head in thanks she took up the bottle and removed the cork carefully, filling the two questionable goblets, sliding one before the General.
Baelwhelar slipped the small pan flute of elven carving to the table. Taking up the goblet and raising it to her in thanks. Trusting her completely he did not check the wine for anything before taking a small sip. His eyes closing a moment to savor the taste. "Exquisite" he remarked. "As for my wife if she could be found and come out of hiding it would be one thing. For the past how long she has been gone when I could use her. " he said then changed the subject. "I could take a brigade across the bridges and bring him back to kneel before you if you so desired. It might cost a few lives. The men know well their fate though should they fall. Seems half of my day is fighting. The other half seeking out families of the fallen to ensure they are compensated for the loss. "
Elina Svendóttir looked curiously at the pan flute as she spoke "No need to fetch him or risk lives. He is still here with in Taure Ru. Last known location for him was the lower citadel where the citizens of Myder are currently living. He has been rather off since the other day. Since, well..." Her brow furrowed "Where did you come across those? You do not strike me as a man to play flutes" looking back to the General she speaks in a soft, low tone "Lonely moments only linger and become more so, the longer one is in love." she offers a weak smile.
Baelwhelar "That is truth" he offered to her last statement. His fingers lightly brushed the flute. "One of the tasks of my first trainers. Was to scout the surface. As we called it then. Young ones as I was then are often called to strike at elven villages and preform kills. This I took from the girl that was my first kill on the surface. When times are like this, I tend to bring it out. It ensures I remain hard in my task to protect these lands." as he took another slow long pull from the wine. "I honest can not play a single note on it. My musical aptitude is very low. "
Elina Svendóttir 's expression was fairly impassive "Death, by the hands of one in training was not uncommon in my village. You are a better man for being able to do so and keep your head about it. Death, especially in war time is a necessary evil. Ultimately everyone ends up with blood on their hands." she holds up one of her own and smiles slightly before using the hand to take up her cup, also taking a decent drink. She licks her lips gentle "Laeron has no head for death, murder, justice. Even though he merely played a part, and not the ultimate cause. He is rather volatile." her eyes sought out Baelwhelar's "Have you, perhaps a man that could keep an eye on him? Bring him to me should he been truly deemed a traitor?"
Baelwhelar listened to her words thinking. "We can arrange to have a 'scribe' escort him. The scribe would just be one of mine that read and write. I have a few that can do such. This way Laeron is unaware of the being watched as it were. Perhaps the excuse of him having one on hand that can assist in documenting the war as it continues on?" he offered to her. As he let his eyes linger on her. Watching her reactions and motions.
Elina Svendóttir nods slowly as she takes another sip of wine "That is most clever indeed." a wicked smile crept over the lips "I do find myself rather fond of the way you think." she pauses a moment "Now then, General, is there anything I can do for you or your men in return? The air is too quiet out there, I would hate for them to lose their spirit." she glances around the tavern "But some appear a bit more broken then others. A song? To pacify, fill with heroism, rage? A rallying talk even." Noting his gaze she returned in, raising a dark eyebrow upwards.
Baelwhelar "i inspire fear, and hate. It is my way. Perhaps something to soothe them. Remind them of what they fight for. I can say they defend their lands as much as I wish. That does not mean it sinks into their minds fully. Perhaps instilling such in them that they do not fight for nothing. We did not fire the first blows this time. We defend what we hold dear. The right to be as we are born. For better or worse. That is what we are. " he said after a long halting pause thinking. "I wonder if at times if I think my self too clever"
Elina Svendóttir laughs gently "We all think ourselves too clever and in the same breath inadequate." she stopped, furrowing her brow "At least humans. I nearly forgot for a moment you were not." she shook her head slightly, "Aye, I can come to the camp and ease you men. They will be truly anew when I am finished. They will again thirst for Sylvhan blood to sate their need to hold claim to this Kingdom." stopping and taking another drink she laughed in to the cup "When this is over, you would do well with pacifying. Perhaps a lesson in music."
Baelwhelar "I usually resort to other means. Yet I would not refuse nearly anything from you Lady Elina" he offered again showing his humor a little before his features were stoic again. "I hope you know how much Taure Ru, how much I appreciate the works you have been doing. Both at this war time, and before hand. "
Elina Svendóttir poked playfully "Careful General, do not give me ideas. I am far more dangerous" she lifted a single finger and tapped the temple of her head "up here" she finished her sentence. Nodding to Baelwhelar, "I do as I can for the Kingdom, I always have. And so long as I live, I will continue to do so. Duty bound, I suppose. One thing I would thing we share in common."
Baelwhelar "Most of your deadly beauty is your mind M'lady" he said seriously. "I just wanted to be sure you were aware it is noticed and appreciated. I sometimes am blind to giving proper thanks to those I live and work with. A problem of my long ahead thinking mind I think. Sometimes my mind is thinking so far ahead I see little of the moment. Not exactly unaware. Just not as aware as I should be. Were you able to speak to the Queen?" he asked softly
Elina Svendóttir nods "I appreciate your kind words General, I do. It is more than an honor to serve the Kingdom, and yourself as I am able. As much as a bard thrives on adulations, I know when one comes silently." she chuckled "You face is that of a well chiseled stone sculpture, the expression never changes, but your eyes tell so much. You needn't always speak words for one to know. Do not cut yourself down." she leans forward a bit, lowering her voice nodding "I have indeed. She has taken up a command center of sorts in the lower citadel. I have been keeping her updated with reports on Myder, your men and the status of the kingdom as a whole."
Baelwhelar nods "I am pleased then she is kept appraised of the situation. it has been hard to pen anything of the like of a report with the going ons here. More insuring families are taken care of so they do not try and pull the fighters from the ranks. There is a tight tension in the air. Other than this ill begotten fog. I am concerned with the light forcing this war a long with us pushing back just as much. We may forget the true enemies of all. Let us hope I am mistaken. " he offered.
Elina Svendóttir shakes her head "The true enemy is already forgotten as in every fleeting moment of battle we are forging new enemies to take their place. The fog has built up such hostilities, there will be no peaceful end to this. Nor, at this point should there be. Things have been building, and eventually will erupt. This must happen though. The bloodshed, as ever unworth it as it will be, must happen. And once it does perhaps heads will clear enough to make sense of it all." she takes a deep breath "The High Queen is as aware of your efforts and the status of your encampment as I can put in to words. I can fight, but I am not skilled in battle. Even with all of my learned knowledge and words I cannot allows commit to paper what is happening. She does know though."
Baelwhelar "your skills are valuable and vast. Of this I have no doubt. Yes this all feels like the vents of the earth. Expelling the energy to allow for the next changes and continuation of life. Much as fire cleanses the grounds for new growth. " sipping the last of his wine. Setting his goblet to the side for the moment. "How are the bards faring other wise through this?"
Elina Svendóttir raises both eyebrows and sighs "The Bards of Taure Ru, the gods smile when they look upon us. Much as Swith once wrote. They are an ever stubborn lot. Refuse to leave Myder though hellfire rains upon it." she nods her head "They have been directed to instill hope, if their powers can reach Sylvhara, crushing despair for them. Though, not a soul would dare come so close to the border's edge."
Baelwhelar nods "I expected no less of those here, or those under your tutelage." looked out the dark dank windows. "I am glad I am not on the Sylvan side of this conflict." he said with his eyes growing brighter as they turned back to her. "the undead are not causing to much of a fuss are they? From my understanding these are not just the normal walking dead. Yet older much more intelligent ones. "
Elina Svendóttir shaking her head "They have not given me any troubles at all, they do in fact seem quite intelligent, as odd as that would suggest. Lords Eecho and Vaurk have done remarkable work. Though, have you concern of them after? As if they are not a plan within?" she shakes her head again and waves a hand "No, that is purely madness on my part. Perhaps the fog even." she points to his cup "Would you care for more?"
Baelwhelar shook his head "No I will need to return to the border before too long. My only concern is if my commands countermand their own. Then how will this affect the battle and fighting? I do not like troops under my command and guarding that are not completely able to be controlled or maneuvered where I desire them. " he offered his concerns honestly
Elina Svendóttir stood from her seat and moved beside Baelwhelar, she would lean in and whisper to him "Allow me to seek out Lord Vaurk on your behalf. Perhaps if I am seen as less of a threat than you, I can provide you the answers you need. Give you a continued chance to focus and think ahead, and use me to think in the present." she smiles warmly. "And know, this is a genuine offer. Your company over wine has its sway"
Baelwhelar eyes closed as he took a moment to enjoy the closeness of the Bard. Before opening them as they glowed even brighter. Whispering in drowish. "you have my sincere thanks. Your company is by far more fine, and sweeter than any wine. " As he stood glancing over her one more time. His body language clear as he thought and spoke low. "Your man is very lucky indeed Master Bard" Stepping back and bowing to her in respect. "Ware the Magister if you speak with him. He does often deal well with those that still breath air. It would be good to know though if any of my order will be in conflict with his own."
Elina Svendóttir feels a slight tingle rush over her as he speak in Drow to her, smiling widely as she understands him. Nodding her head "Worry not, I will return to you, with all you desire of him. Perhaps more." returning his words in kind "Your wife is very lucky, indeed, General." she nodded her head mutually "Ensure no more arrows find their way to you until I return?" she requested in a playful manner "Dark paths, General. Extinguish, the Light"
Baelwhelar a slight smile showed at his eyes no where else. "As you Command my Lady " with that he slipped out the tavern to head to the camps ready again to being fighting

Fog of War: Strings Attached
Laeron Orvir moves from the Healers area in the keep, after spending several hours assisting the folk there hauling buckets, preparing food, and offering what comfort he could to them, moving towards the Swan..
Elina Svendóttir walked with a young soldier in tow. "He is half elf, Sylvhan, of course, rather talented bard. Clever. I would advise you be wary of him." her tone trailed off as she spotted the very bard she spoke of "Laeron." she called out "I need to ask favor of you. And I promise on my Gods it is far less than I asked of you last."
Laeron Orvir turns, and watches her cautiously. "I don't have my instrument, and im bone tired... what would you ask of me?"
Laeron Orvir also eyes the soldier, warily...
Elina Svendóttir purses her lips "Laeron, you are a learned man, are you not? Always seeking knowledge?" she gestured to the young man behind her "This is Tymnes, he is a scribe amongst General Baelwhelar's troops. The General asked if he might learn from one of my students and I could think of no one more fit for the task." she gestured for the soldier to move forward. He towered over the petite lass, sandy hair, brown eyes, very hard features. He was covered in dirt and seemed grateful to pull away from the fight "Perhaps you could assist him and he you in recording the events as of late? Tis a big project, but as a bard recording history is key, is it not?"
Laeron Orvir eyes her and the soldier. "It is a fine project, and something I would normally be most interested in. But I did not come to teach a scribe to write... I came to insure those I cared about were still alive, and to assist the smallfolk of Myder." he sighs, looking between the soldier and the Bardess, thinking, and rubs his tired face.
Elina Svendóttir smiled rather widely "He can read, as well as write, but it takes a bard to write well. And it takes someone in your position to help with an alternative perspective to things." she motioned for Tymnes to near.
Tymnes stuttered a bit "Me Dad, h-h-h-h-he was hurt in the first attack on Myder. Me mum's been worried sick I would be next."
Laeron Orvir looks down... and back up.. and then to Elina. "Gods damn you..." he mutters, not a stupid man...but unable to help. He reaches out and pats the man on the shoulder. "Come, come.. Ill take you under my wing, and Ill get you a drink." he looks at Elina again, his eyes sending a message. "I will teach him what little I can... and keep him off the damned front."
Elina Svendóttir smiled and nodded gratefully "You have my deepest thanks Laeron. Truly you do." she looked over to Tymnes "In the Swan, there is a bookcase, find the text with the sto

Fog of War: Black Magister and Eecho deliver the goods
[14:17] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) glides across the now quiet battlefield, clad in black, his hair as dark as a raven's wing, and cloaked with a spell that causes those who see him to not be aware of his presence. He earlier had call his familiar, Edgar to him, and the raven perched on his shoulder croaking ravenish maladictions...
[14:26] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) was taking advantage of this lull in the hostilities to inspect the damage done, and the state of the passages over the river. The bridges where not in good shape, but some work had been done to repair them. The work was makeshift, and would not long survive a heavy assualt Anyone on horseback would quickly find himself in the icy waters of the river, dashed upon Pelinor's concealed cassions. The Archmage found and tested the log bridge just north of Myder; the druidic brambles sealed the Sylvharan end of the bridge, arcane fire discouraged it's used along its length. Faulkes nodded to himself. The bridge is narrow and would not alllow a large number of troops to pass in either direction.
[14:33] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) finds the area that the fae druids had concecrated, where the pulverized bones of the undead had been interred. More of this would be needed to keep Vaurk's shock troops close to the border. He would also need to station members of the Invictus nearby with orders to randomly cast the distruption spell into concentrations of skeletons, yet spare the living. Faulkes purpose is to keep the living members of the warring factions apart as much as possible... but warriors can be wily when their blood is up...
[14:49] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) evntually returns to the druidic grove above the log bridge where the hostiliies had started. He stands on the patch of snowdrop where the Void Magic had fallen, and crouching, places his hand onthe earth there to feel for any further damage or thinning of the barrier between the world that would allow a gate to the Abyss to open. It may be his own fears speaking, but the Archmage does not want a repeat of the plague of evil flowers to rise here again. For the moment, however, the earth is silent. The druids will have to concecrate this place especially well... Faulkes and Edgar retreat into the woods behind the line of Sylvan troops to wait...
[15:10] Laeron Orvir (basilard) sits in the Swan, with his tagalong Tymnes, the young, and fearful guard he's been tasked with, going over the basic history of Myder, geniunely trying to help the boy. "Alright, lad, it's time for me to go for a walk. And I suspect you have been tasked to go with me, so rather than make it awkward, why don't you come with me?" and stands, walking through the undead shambling about, towards the northeast.
[15:20] Laeron Orvir (basilard) sits down, opposite the riverbank, uncorking a simple bottle, filled with some stale smelling water, but takes a sip anyway, not far from a posted legion of undead. "Seems quiet, yes?" he looks down into the precipse, remembering the events of the last few days.."One truism I can tell you about history, lad... is everyone has their own tale, their own version of an event. And their own motivations. There truly are no heros nor villains, merely the actions we take. But we lie to ourselves, and convince ourselves otherwise.. Because, what is life without something to aspire to?" he smiles at the boy, taking a drink, and offering it to the boy. "Tales of heros long past, of deeds great and terrible... perception one of the most powerful forces in this World... and with the written word and the spoken, if you convince enough people of a lie.. it becomes truth... do you understand?"
[15:28] Laeron Orvir (basilard): "It is in the telling of the tale, and the perspective one tells it from that allows any idea to flourish and grow. Knowledge and ideas, hold power. But only if you use them. Good or Evil, right or wrong, those are matters of perception, and of your own heart."
[16:14] Vaurk Ort: The sound of bony feet echo through the halls of the Necropolis as a scout makes his way to find the Black Magister. As he approaches, Vaurk turns his head slightly.. the skeleton is silent but for a faint murmur.. this one was not so good at using his voice.. poor choice for a messenger but no matter. He proceeds to report his findings on the border across the river.. now was the time to strike. Leaving his sanctuary, Vaurk finds his way into the heated chamber where he finds Eecho preparing his magicks. He hesitated as he observed his long time friend looking far worse than he had ever seen, though he seemed resilient enough to proceed with the plan. "Lord Eecho.. the time has come.. " and he gestures toward the pile of sylvan corpses.. now slightly bloated and ripe, the necrotic tissue spreading rapidly from the heat of the fire.
[16:19] Eecho Rotaru looks up from his work, wipes his sweat stained brow and smiles wickedly. "How long have you been gathering these? These are terrific specimens!" He stands slowly, trying to hide his fatigue. Reaching one bloated corpse, he lifts a hand lets it drop with a cold splat. "Some are fresh, others less so. And the odor! The smell of a true Sylvan! Where would you like to do this, Magister? Down here or on the banks of the river?"
[16:26] Vaurk Ort gestures toward the pile.. "Here will do.. I don't want to bring any that do not reanimate." he turns to hear the undead goblin approaching from behind carrying what appears to be a very heavy sack.. "Set it there.. and wait" he directs and turns back to Eecho and points his staff again waving it in little circles toward the corpses as if to hurry things up."
[16:30] Eecho Rotaru glances at the bag carried by the rotting goblin eager to see in it, but not yet. Eecho pulls the body in a line one by one. Taking out some black chalk he begins to inscribe a circle within a circle with sigils and runes in-between. Next he pulls out some ash from the cremation grounds while chanting in abyssal. He moves to the Black Magister. I have never tried so many at one time. Would you place your hands on me, old friend and lend me your aid in twisting the nether to fill each with the necrotic energies?
[16:36] Vaurk Ort would nod and come to his aide.. stepping behind him he places his left hand on Eecho's shoulder.. in his other hand is his staff, topped by a powerful shard of the nocturnal stone.. As Eecho begins to work his magic, chanting growing stronger and stronger, he begins a low chant of his own in black speach.. "Gu kibum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi. Akha-gum-ishi ashi gurum." The head of the staff glows a brighter purple than often seen.. flickers of arc energy flow from the floor and up the staff to his hand.. through his body and up his arm, straight into Eecho whom would most certainly feel this flow of energy now. Continuing his chant he keeps the stream open, letting Eecho do some of his most profound work in years.
[16:42] Eecho Rotaru 's knees nearly buckle as Vaurk lays his hand on him.....the touch of the nether realm he had so grown to love filling him. With the Magister's aid this would be their greatest work yet. One that will bring Sylvhara to ruin. And he would play a part in it. Eecho lifts up his own staff filled with years of spells and raises it over his head in ecstasy and slams it down in the circle, causing some dust and debris to fall from the ancient ceiling. As it hits the ground the circle lights up and the hisses and howls from a thousand demons and Fel beings seem to chant with them. The purple stream slithers around the circle like a snake splitting into many sliding in the mouths of the bodies gathered here. Eecho laughs as they begin to rise.
[16:44] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) huddles among some rocks near the druidic grove on Tari occasionally testing the Weave for signs of magic. The berm of soil he leans upon begins to groan and shudder; something unpleasant, uncanny and powerful is going on somewhere underground. The Archmage cannot quite get a direction, but it feels that it is coming from somewhere in the west.... He releases the spell that shields im from view, and stands to wait tensely.
[16:49] Sallich (sally.foxdale): flying near the border on his search for bodies the unpleasent smell from across the river reaches him then he senses the use of necromantic powers should he go and investigate or stay on his side of the river Squish wonders which
[16:51] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan is at the generals make shift camp, he is putting his name to another notice. A notice that will be sent along with the remains of a lost soldier to their family. He lets out a long breath and hands it back to a courier, "Stay on the path, and moves quickly." Dishan pats at his hair as he looks to the others that are going about their patrols, then his eyes move along the border at a large scattering of crow fill the air.
[16:52] Vaurk Ort leans in, reaching for the shoulders of the ones that seem to be the most active.. pulling them toward him and inspecting them one by one.. their mobility a critical factor. "Yes.. these will do very well.. the others.. toss them into the dungeons.. they may be of some use later." Vaurk then gestures to the goblin to open his sack.. he pulls forth what looks like a pile of metallic chest mail, though it appeared haphazard and hastily put together.. "There.. these ones here.." he points to the six largest among the raised Sylvan corpses.. "fit them with the vests.. yes.. just like that.. and then put them in the cart.." One by one they are outfitted and loaded up.. One of them had bloated so badly that the chest piece pierced it's flesh as it moved into the cart, the puss from within spraying the undead goblin now covered in the stuff and looking to the Black Magister with a sad question on his face.. Turning toward him he takes the poor walking corpse and tosses him back up on the cart toward the
[16:53] Vaurk Ort: back.."It is no matter, my minion.. prepare the others". Finishing this task, the Magister opens a portal leading to a secluded spot in the woods behind Mydertown.. the edges of the rift-like whole crackling with a menacing low rumble and bright white jolts of energy..
[16:57] Eecho Rotaru steps through the portal after the undead and the Black Magister eager for the next part.
[16:58] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) senses the opening portal, and steps out of his hide. He taps the shoulder of a guard, who startles at the Archmage's sudden presence. Faulkes hisses the man to silence. "Get your troops prepared. They come, and it's not going to be pretty."
[16:58] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic) sits up with a start in the infirmary, sensing strange magics thick in the air. He places a hand against where he'd been stabbed the night prior as he tries to recall the events that brought him here. A slight panic comes over him at remembering the sight of Erirul plummeting toward the river but passes as he looks to the scar on his wrist where they had been bound, feeling that she is unharmed. The magic catching his attention once more he steps outside to gaze out in the direction it seems to radiate from.
[17:01] Laeron Orvir (basilard) jumps, stopping short, his hand frozen in the air, as the low rumble and bright white jolts of the rift open not too far from him. He looks at the lad, and shakes his head, and waits....
[17:03] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan is going over a report with a couple of cavalier Captains when a soldier approaches them. He explains what the Arch Mage, Faulkes had told him near the meadow. Dishan calms him then looks to the captains, "Ready your posts, form the line, all the way down. When we see where they make their entrance we can tighten up and move in.. Heavy handed." Dishan makes a fist and hits it into his palm, then he looks over to a ranger and he gets a nod of confirmation that the rangers are at hand.
[17:05] Sallich (sally.foxdale): squish decides a little look wont harm him and may put him in sallich's good books flies over the river and lands on a roof in Mydertown see the glow of a portal open just out of his site near some woods
[17:06] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) sets Edgar to flight: "Go grab the ear of the nearest commmander at the tents and bring him here. Or, her. Whoever..... Now GO!" Edgar flaps off as fast as he can go calling loudly to the murder of ravens circling above the battleground.
[17:10] Vaurk Ort arrives in the woods behind Myder.. his goblin minion pushing the freshly animated corpses off of the cart.. Turning to Eecho he verifies that his previous task had been completed, gesturing toward a few of the other undead lining the border.. "They know what comes next? and to let these elven sods pass freely into their realm?" As he awaits Eecho's confirmation he looks over the Sylvan soldiers.. they did not appear so far gone as it has only been a few days.. He steps toward them.. by now they were more coherent though still unsteady on their feet. The Magister's face well hidden behind the mask. "Sylvans.. I release you to your homelands.. the skeletons you so bravely fought will not bar your passage.. make for the north bridge and beyond." He watches them, their confusion was naturally expected but they accept the Magister's offer and start to slowly gather themselves and head to the bridge..
[17:11] Eecho Rotaru lets the soldiers cross the makeshift bridge laid down just for them. The soldiers quickly make their way across the bridge with their hands in the air. Just as they reach the other troops, Eecho releases the command, "Fire!" and the Rangers camouflaged in the trees by the night release their explosive arrows aimed at the corpses. The shrapnel built into their "makeshift" armor slices into numerous Sylvan soldiers as does the necrotic puss and ooze from the now exploded bodies. Eecho releases a haunting howl of joy.
[17:11] Sallich (sally.foxdale): squish takes off in the direction of the wood hoping to do a quick pass see all he can and return to safety
[17:13] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan is pulling his armor over his head and adjusting it on his shoulders when a Raven comes flapping around him. At first he swishes it away, "Away with you." he says staying focused on the task at hand, but the raven is persistent and hist at Dishan head a few times. Finally he stops and watches the bird, it flutters in a direction then comes back to him, Dishan nods, "Ah, I see... Alright then. Horse!" he yells out and a cavalier rides over and jumps off his horse and Dishan mounts up and follows the raven into the south west.
[17:14] Cocidius (cadrosancara) looked out from the edge of the keep as the fires erupted across in Sylvhara's land. His eyes flared and his smile grew. "Its beautiful, isn't it Senger Og'elend?" He laughed with a twisted pleasure as the explosive arrows impacted and detonated.
[17:15] Akorthrae Myana (rae.chiwanga): sits perched on a stool in the tavern enjoying her ale. The surge of energies overwhelmed her nearly causing her to drop her tankard. “whoa, I wonder what that was” she said in a whisper. Shrugs and raises off the stool, reaching behind the bar placing her tankard under the keg, refilling her ale. “I hope that doesn’t return”. Laughs aloud at the realization that she is talking to herself. Takes another gulp, releasing a masculine belch as she places her hand on her stomach, assisting the ale moistened gas
[17:15] Sallich (sally.foxdale): Squish doesnt make the wood as he spots the arrows flying and the corpses exploding he banks round and heads for home as fast as his little wings will carry him
[17:16] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) sees the shuffling soldiers make for the log bridge. The skeletons on the other side make way for them. The Archmage scowls, raises his arms above his head, and slaps his hands together. He shouts, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" and a bright lance of purple light streaks into the sky. to alert the Invictus waiting below.
[17:16] Eecho Rotaru leans against the tree utterly exhausted and yet keeps laughing to himself. "Their own kin and family members....thus begins the end of days. I can die a happy man. He collapses.
[17:18] Najdin Crimsonmaine (gryphan) flew high over head, the explosions catching his attention, along with the release of powerful magics. His sharp eyes took in what he could of the scene and grinned slightly "Chaos at it's finest.. well done Eecho.." he had sensed eechos magic in the mix
[17:19] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan arrives near where the raven has settled, he sees a dark haired person wielding some kind of magic. He hardly waits for the horse to stop before he dismounts. A large purple flash gets his attention, "Master Faulkes?" he says softly as he approaches the figure now.
[17:20] Laeron Orvir (basilard) grabs the young lad by the wrist, almost dragging him away from the carnage, and begins to blindly run from the river, deeper into ru...and then comes to a screetching halt, freezing in fear as he sees the one he knew from the Swan, slumped, and a man? who radiated nothing but pure menace. Frozen in place by nothing but sheer terror..
[17:21] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): "Yes, commander. I hope these soldiers know to obey you; they see a bit wary of me."
[17:21] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) steps into the clearing near Archmage Faulkes, "Miye Faulkes, Sir Dirshan," As the purple sparkles that acompany her portal fades. She looks about getting her bearings.
[17:23] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov): "Cia -- vedui! We will need you."
[17:23] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): He nods to Faulkes, "Oh they will listen and they will fight, I assure you, we all will." he nods and turns to the soldiers, making strait out movement with his hand, they immediately form a wall at each side of them, weapons ready. "You, let the captain on the bridge of Tari know where we are." The soldier hurries off, and Dishan turns at the new light that fills the space and fades, "Lady Cia, glad to see you."
[17:25] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) smiles "I am here to help as I may." she looks at him, noticing the changes since she last saw him. "This war is changing you. What new vileness are they committing?"
[17:26] Vaurk Ort says nothing but simply nods slowly watching the carnage take place, the gleeful cheers and laughter from Eecho suddenly ceased he turns to look over to where Eecho had been standing.. then looked down at the ground where his friend had collapsed from exhaustion.. He makes a gesture toward his minion and points to Eecho.. and without a word the goblin starts to pick the necromancer up and flops him down on the now unladen cart. He looks back across the border.. there had been some initial carnage.. but only a half dozen or so perished.. The shards, however, had scattered quite far, nearly a hundred yard radius from the point of impact, wounding a good number of soldiers, even if just a little. He glances across the field and sees the man standing there frozen with fear, but does nothing.. turning back to the cart he raises his staff and opens another portal back to the Necropolis where he, Eecho, and the goblin-pushed cart vanish in a matter of moments.
[17:26] Pelinor Aurotharius was in the forward command post when the report of the latest atrocity was presented to her. Though the report was preliminary it was still graphic in it's portrayl of events. Flaring her nostrils and standing now to compose herself she thanked the sergeant... "Burn everything at the site as per protocol... and have Commander Dishan come to see me regarding Myder." Taure Ru was getting creative she mused, the thought made her stomach knot... she had a task for her Cavalier Commander, Myder continued to be a preoccupation as she continued to demonstrate with forces on either side of the towne.
[17:28] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) appears unfazed by the explosion of the apparent Sylvan soldiers and the flying shards. For once, he wishes that there were a bard or two to keep this lot from fainting at the sight of the erstwhile comrades going down in flames, but meanwhile. he prepares one of his skeleton-disrupting spells, drawing and forming mana into a tight ball...
[17:28] Laeron Orvir (basilard) blinks, as the two disappear, his spirit chilled to the bone. "c'mon, lad, lets get to the Keep. No sense in dying today." and he rapidly makes his way along with Tymnes to the civilan area of the keep.
[17:31] Larkspur (larkspurhollyhock) was with the band performing in the Keep's courtyard. She was unreasonably offended by the presence of the undead. It didn't matter which side they fought for, they were an abomination to her. They made her skin crawl and she couldn't relax with them around. They seemed an intelligent lot, Vaurk's undead army, so she listened for the world song and when she heard it full volume she began to weave *Fear* into her song which will bring an illusion of the creature's worst nightmare to it's mind.
[17:31] Larkspur (larkspurhollyhock): army below the Keep, along the river, but she did hope that it entertained the spectators gathered around to hear them.
[17:31] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) turned to Dishan, "Tell me, What are the protections at this point? Has the ground been hallowed? Do we have a plan?" she laid a hand on Sasha's back, in her current pixie form, her companion could act as a mount if needed.
[17:34] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan is staring across the river into Ru at the strange explosions, he looks to Cia, "Keira created brambles here to aid in detering the undeadm and or living with poison thorns." he points off to the large border bridge at the North, "Lady Clem, laid a blessing on the ground at the base of the Tari entrance into Ru. We have cavalier and warriors along the border, as well as rangers at the ready."
[17:34] Cocidius (cadrosancara) got closer to the makeshift bridge, the fires across the river lighting his way. He looked up to see if his new companion was still flying, or if he had taken the chance to be done with Cocidius. He went even closer now, trying to see what exactly they had done. "My my..." He could see figures across the way. "I wonder what they might try to do in return?"
[17:37] Faulkes Voronwe (dylanfox.petrov) gathers more and more mana to increase the range of his spell, and prepares to throw the mana ball across the river. "Disrupt, dismember the bones of the unliving, all -- friend or foe! Et ossa dilliliunt!" He heaves the spell with all his strength.
[17:38] Najdin Crimsonmaine (gryphan) hovered over the sylvhan army, he held the shadows close to him to obscure his being from sight. He kept a watchful gaze on the movements
[17:40] Acacia Rose (wildrosepetal) dug her toes into the soft ground, dipping her head and whispering to the elements, asking her aid in this fight against the undead and un-natural things that kept coming at them, She felt their response as she gathered strands of the weave to her. She turned to survey those they faced. She watches the Archmage, mounting Sasha as she prepared to cast. With the power flowing through her she felt ready to face anything that the enemy might send to them.
[17:41] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic) hovers high above Cocidius, watching the mayhem below with complete fascination
[17:43] Dishan Cal'Der (teer.latzo): Dishan nods with satisfaction watching Faulkes throw magic, and Cia in preparation of whats to come. he looks to the soldiers, "Stand the line." he says in his deep stern tone as he looks back over to Ru.
[17:43] Guppy Tierbal follows to the land west of Sylvhara catching the scents on the wind while his eyes dart about taking note of figures down on the ground he recognized. Moving with little hesitation he feels his anger building from the fog, focusing on his thoughts to keep them concise, clear, and focused he pulls his wings closed to dive down for a quick decent, timing to furl his wings metering his speed landing heavily thumping into the ground behind Faulkes, Acacia, and Dishan with his claws embedded into the dirt. Lifting his head taking deep breaths with his inner lung open causing a chilled fog to flow from his mouth while he spoke in a hasted draconic without thinking about speaking common "usjalil acacia, filki svabol ui gethrisjir shafaer tenpiswo, kii ui coi batobot si keefum iejir persvek wer thrae vur nomeno vargach shinaltir?"
[17:44] Cocidius (cadrosancara) watches as a great ball of mana and spells was conjured and heaved in his direction. "Oh. I guess THAT is what they are going to do..."
[17:46] Alton'Aonar Og'elend (damienx.vlodovic) hisses seeing the magic coming toward the border and swoops down to lift Cocidius into the air. "Don't thank me... Eri seems to care what happens to you"

Fog of War: A Druid in need is a friend indeed
[18:55] Elayne Carpathia sees a dark spectre floating just inches above a bloodied stone flooring. My blood runs cold while the heart within me beats as if to escape my human body
[18:57] Vaurk Ort closes his minds eye as the blurred and abrupt visions he was seeing through the eyes of countless undead exhausted him.. his attention now brought to his own surroundings, which suddenly seem to have been breeched by an outsider. He turns his head slightly as her light footfalls and warm glow of life force give away her presence. "You dare enter my circle, mortal? What folly brings you to the woods this dark night?" he continues to focus forward, eager not to lose his concentration too much from this interruption.
[18:57] Elayne Carpathia speaks softly so as not to jolt this magnificently unknown being "Forgive me Sir, I seek Arch Druid Colby. I did not mean to disturb your solace. I am Arch Druid Elayne from Greenhaven seeking Druid Colby for enlightenment." Elayne looks back and forth for a quick path to safety if needed and then backs away slowly.
[19:02] Vaurk Ort remains hovering above his circle drawn of bloody runes and symbols.. he could see now that he would have to deal with this matter and end his scrying.. turning toward her.. "The tree-tending satyr.. yes.. he is not here.. what is it you seek of him?" recognition of the favor the ArchDruid had done him is what stays his hand in vanquishing this outsider..
[19:03] Elayne Carpathia: "I wish to learn the dark ways of the druid path, Sir."
[19:08] Vaurk Ort had been so deeply involved in plotting the demise of the invading Sylvans that his mind immediately turns this intruder into a sort of resource to be used.. "That is what brings you here to these woods? From what realm do you come? Lie to me and I will know." his face again obscured by the deer skull he wore.. as frightening as it might appear to some the reality beneath was far worse.
[19:08] Elayne Carpathia: "I am from Greenhaven, The Isle of the Whispering Pines, Sir. If I may ask, do you wear the mask of the plague doctors, as some healers are known to do?" She squints to see the man better.
[19:12] Vaurk Ort considers this.. "Whispering.. hmmm.. a foreign realm then.. you are not allied with the Elf Queen?" he reaches with his mind.. surrounding her with his presence.. if wisdom would not convince her to speak truthfully then perhaps fear would."
[19:17] Elayne Carpathia: "No, not the Elf Queen, not Sylvhara. Whispering Pines is neutral, we take no sides with this war. As I said, I come for knowledge and understanding only. Balance can come through understanding of all sides. May I ask your name if you are comfortable with sharing?"
[19:20] Elayne Carpathia watches as the black-cloaked being seems to shimmer in and out, while he transmits powerful energies towards my being. My elements gather close beside me sensing a trembling within me
[19:29] Vaurk Ort continues watching her, invading her personal space with his presence.. "A true understanding of all sides is what you seek then, hmm? Knowledge of the dark elements as opposed to the light your kind hold so dear?" he so rarely suffered the will of mortals that it was almost painful to speak the words.. unless, of course, he had something to gain from it. "There is but one way to truly comprehend the darkness you seek.."
[19:32] Elayne Carpathia a small smile forms before she speaks, " Only one way? You speak as if you detest me. So be it. I wish to learn from you."
[19:38] Vaurk Ort narrows his eyes on the small mortal female.. while she appeared harmless and of little use to him, his probing confirmed quite a different picture. While he loathed the living, he could not deny that he savored their energy, which he so greedily fed off of when given the chance. "Very well but have no illusion.. and no regrets, for it was you whom sought this of me."
[19:41] Elayne Carpathia steps a bit closer within the bloodied circle, "I respect your intellect, your power, the lessons I wish to learn. I have no illusions, hopefully no regrets. Yes, 'twas I who sought you."
[19:59] Vaurk Ort takes a step back as if to lead her into his circle.. the blood forming the ring and runes seemingly flowing out of the path of her footsteps as she walks, closing in behind her afterward. Without a word he guides her into the center of the circle where he would take position directly behind her.. A moment later he would slam the butt of his staff on the stone floor and begin reciting the words.. holding up his free hand he palms the back of her head and awaits the buildup of energy...
[20:00] Elayne Carpathia stands in the middle of the circle watching, his hand, like ice against my scalp, pulling, pulling, pulling something, and yet I let him continue.
[20:05] Vaurk Ort: as he centers himself he reached deep down and brings up the black speech.. his power words from the ancient world.. "Gu kibum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi.." he pauses and feels a slight rush of energy.. "Akha-gum-ishi burzum-ishi krimpatu".. a light wind picks up and begins to swirl around their position in the circle.. rustling the leaves in the surrounding trees.. "Gu kibum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi.." he exclaims.. the breeze stiffening into a gale.. swirling and building.. blowing out the candles near by and sending a whirlwind of twigs, leaves and dust swirling around them...
[20:07] Elayne Carpathia my eyes close as I hear the wind swirling through my hair.I feel calm though a storm enfolds me
[20:11] Vaurk Ort as he draws on his own powers to form this vortex of magical wind, he begins to draw upon the power of this arch druid, pushing his dark magic through her, amplifying the original effect tremendously.. through her, with her link to the elements he summons a storm building high above them, between the realm and the snow capped mountains to the west..
[20:15] Elayne Carpathia feels an unusual strength slam through her, yet a weakness which could easily fell her. She feels the wind, an icy wind flowing from her she does not understand. She tries to speak, "But I didn't call for the wind....."
[20:28] Vaurk Ort continues to escalate the black speech, the power within this mortal was more than he anticipated.. the winds growing stronger.. and colder by the minute. Finally as the spell comes to a climax he slams his staff down on to a power rune, drawn in blood, sending the blood into the vortex itself.. with that, a splash of lightning plays across the skies above, the resulting clap of thunder echoing across the rift valley to the west.. Though the vortex seemed to plateau there was something sinister about the relative calm.. Within a few moments, a torrent of icy cold wind headed eastward, sliding down the mountainside and over the treetops of the Elderwood and down into the eastern lands of Taure Ru and western border of Sylvhara. Myder, though not intentionally targeted, would suffer the same fate as anyone else in that region.. a necessary evil? perhaps.. As the frigid wind reached the ground level of these regions, the temperature would drop to below freezing with an unforgiving wind-chill. In his
[20:28] Vaurk Ort: own location the temperature would drop severely yet not quite so much as the targeted area.. As his energy wanes, and certainly that of his unwitting muse, the torrent of wind surrounding them would subside.. it was no longer needed as the deed had been done.. there was little to be done about the storm above that would rage for the next several hours at least.
[20:33] Elayne Carpathia begins to shiver from the freezing winds tearing through the land. Pulling her cape around her, she calls on her third element of fire to bring warmth to her. She hears a bell tolling in the distance, while the air grows colder. Fire is not answering her call or cannot hear her within this distant land of ice.
[20:42] Vaurk Ort slowly winds down the vortex.. the air surrounding them beginning to calm, at least in comparison to the tempest raging above. He would turn his gaze downward to the Arch Druid, releasing her from his icy grasp for the moment.. Exhausted he leans on his staff to steady himself. It was finished.. for now. Though he had exhausted more energy than he anticipated.. As weak as she may be right now she would.. be enough.. to get him back to the Reliquary..
[20:44] Elayne Carpathia steps closer, seeing the dark one seemed exhausted, even more so than she
[20:55] Elayne Carpathia steps away from the dark master while he seems somewhat fatigued, unable to grab her while she takes small steps to the entrance
[20:55] Vaurk Ort would feel the corners of his mouth curl upward slightly.. she did not know what she had done. "Do you feel it? Feel the suffering and fear? As the winds raged above, a torrent of frigid wind crashed down on the Sylvan lands.. By your hand, and mine, the Sylvans will suffer this night."
[21:00] Elayne Carpathia turns and looks at his hidden face, "Your hand and mine? I did nothing of my free will. This was evil trickery set forth by you. There is nothing of knowledge in this lesson. But you, the all powerful, needed the mere mortal female to succeed with your monstrous plan. You'll use me no more!" She turns to run past him to the foggy swamp but is weakened by his dark pull on her, she stumbles and falls
[21:04] Vaurk Ort reaches his hand toward her.. though not in physical reach distance what power remained in him would hold her fast.. As she stumbles he places his palm on her back and whispers a spell.. barely able to conjure the portal, he pulls he through and into the Necropolis. Where they both lay, Rhomus would stand just next to them.. Looking up from the floor, Vaurk commands him to take her to the well of souls and keep her there for the time being until he could muster the energy to find further use of her.
