Elva'ree Do'Valtor raises an eyebrow at Keira, her head tilted to the side, then looked over at Cia then to everyone else as she greeted them"Vendui' Archmage and Fae Queen Acacia, Nifridil, jal"
Serendipityes: makes soft trilling sounds of greeting. *hello everybody*
Malakyte Thorne nods "Greetings "
Nifredil Evael raises his hands wide with open palms as he has decided that he has waited long enough to begin..."Welcome. Some of you I know, and others I do not..."...his eyes scan the area around him to see the various leaders of each land..."We have a very important matter to discuss this evening...this portal stone here at my feet."...he looks downward at the crystal as it rotates at his feet, Elva's greeting remembering that he had not greeted everyone..."Vedui' il'ir. Welcome Acacia, Elva'ree, and Serendipityes to the gathering. Welcome to those that I have not met before."
Colby Lykin saunters casually toward the gathering as Nifredil begins to speak
Malakyte Thorne sat quietly as she listened. At Nifredils direction she looked down at the stone curiously that he mentioned, studying it a long moment before asking "Do we know where this portal goes?"
Acacia Rose "Miye Iharess Elva'ree, ArchDruid's Colby, Elain and Kiera, Regent Thorner, Jabbuk Alton, my friend Nifredil and of course you Serenipityes"
Elva'ree Do'Valtor nods to Colby and Alton as they arrived, "Vendui'"
Elayne Carpathia: "Greetings Queen Acacia and all who gather here this night."
Alton'Aonar Og'elend offers a bow of his head in greetings and stands off to the side to listen quietly
Nifredil Evael raised his head from the portal stone, and he turns his attention to the Dragon Regent..."As of right now? No. I have not performed any magic upon this crystal as I have been waiting for us to meet."...his attention pans across the group before him to Colby, and to the strange young Drow male that approached the group to lower his head to them both..."I believe, however, that it will solve the problems of not being able to access the other planes of existence while the breaches are unstable."...as he turns back to the majority of the group he lowers his head to Zoskia as he approaches
Colby Lykin dips his head in respect to Elva "Vendui, my Queen. Glancing to the others he nods to those who would meet his gaze. "Queen Acacia." He nods at her greeting. He offers a wry smile to Alton.
Malakyte Thorne nods thoughtfully, her gaze returning to the crystal.
Zoskia Cor'mai brows raise as he takes in the crystal in the Eldritch knights hands, the come, then come closer together as he ponders the implications of this discovery...
Colby Lykin: "A door to destinations unknown. How marvelous." The satyr puffs thoughtfully on his pipe, watching as other speak.
Acacia Rose "Miye Zoskia." she turns back to Nif, "We need to think of how to make it accessible to all, and at the same time a risk to none, This will not be an easy task."
Elva'ree Do'Valtor listened to Nifredil as he spoke and then nodded her agreement to Cia's words, "Siyo, a gate goes both aways, the dangers would be nothing new to Taure Ru, we are well equipped to handle such things."
Elayne Carpathia narrows her eyes while her gaze penetrates the slight glow of the crystal, the energy radiates through the land as the crystal spins.
Keira Alzael sits quietly on the ground running her fingers through the grass blades. She listens to the others speaking around her, taking it all in. She listens to what Nifredil has to say and not really understanding the arcane magicks she remains quiet. She does keep her eye on the crystals, crystals has her own special knowledge and understanding. Hearing her queen speak she cants her head to her.
Serendipityes: turns to Acaica and trills *I feel much the same, those of us in the outer lands would like to have access, and know that will be kept no matter the state of treaties by lands. Perhaps divide them up among the lands?*
Nifredil Evael nods to Colby slowly..."Indeed. We would need someone skilled in studying enchanted items to determine what exactly this will open..."...his voice trails off as he turns to Zoskia with a rather even look on his face..."As the Dark Ilharess said we would need to protect not only the use of the gate, but prevent what is on the other side from coming through to us as well. Remember it was not too long ago that Atal Maru attempted to pushed through a large gate before..."...he turns his attention to the two Druidesses that sat silently staring at the crystal. As the Psuedo Dragon began to speak in a language that he could not understand the Avariel would pull upon the weave in order to cast the Tongues spell as he pointed his finger at Serendipityes..."While I understand that line of thinking I feel that it is...short sighted."
Zoskia Cor'mai tilts his head slightly, listening for that soft sound which is more like a pressure on the mind than an actual sound. He nods slightly as hears the soft ringing of magic resonating the air around the crystal. "The planes? All of them? Some of them? I sense it's a powerfully magical item; but, for all we know it could only open to the Bloodfields. Caution would be an understatement. It is only my opinion, of course."
Colby Lykin nods with a wry grin as Elva speaks, his eyes mesmerized by the light reflecting off the arcane crystal. Smoke rings curl around his face as he listens to Nifredil speak. He nods at Zoskia's caution. "Are plans in motion to test this crystal? Should we have armies at the ready, in case such is waiting on the other side for this mysterious portal to be opened?"
Elayne Carpathia: "I wonder, Nifredil, what your opinion is concerning this crystal. Will the positive be worth the possible negative effects on our lands??
Malakyte Thorne: When it is set and opened i expect you already plan to have a ward around it. If it does allow one to travel to the planes it could be of great value. One must simply be sure to take precautions. "
Elva'ree Do'Valtor looks down at the dragon speaking and frowns a moment, she drew on her arcane abilities and channeled the spell tongues so she could understand Serendipityes. She then cast her eyes at Zoskia and quicks her lip at him, "I believe we are all magic users here, atleast all that I know are, we are all aware that magic must be used with caution," she stops speaking and frowns, "Then again maybe some explaining for the mundane on the dangers of portals should be given."
Acacia Rose looks significantly to Elva'ree, then to Nif, looking to each as she states this in a factual tone, holding nothing of brag, "The Magician himself alerted us to the existence of the portals, and my recent captivity is an indication of the forces who seek to control these portals. This is one of eight. I sent copies of documents that may give us some further information, The book is now housed at the Ithryn mage guild to keep it safe. There is still much to unlock in that volume, I also have a volume that may have information."
Serendipityes: nodded to Nifredil, *I will be working with the mages of Lundene on these*
Nifredil Evael nods to Zoskia in affirmation to his advice of caution before turning to the Satyr Archdruid of Taure Ru..."Fortunately the Conclave has a highly skilled Artificer that can examine the stone. The destination should be able to be determined without having to open the portal."...his attention turns now to the Druidess of The Whispering Pines..."Arcane magic has little effect on the land unless that magic is turned toward the land. If you mean guarding from anything coming through the portal to the other side I don't feel that we have need to worry unless the portal opens to the Void."...he takes a deep breath as the mention of wards finally arise..."I feel warding the portals would be more of a hassle than a benefit. The intricacies that would need to be built into the magics to allow access to everyone, while blocking out anything from the destination of the gates will be far too time consuming..."...he paused after answering the first of the questions to take a deep breath in order to maintain a clear mind. He listens carefully to both Elva'ree and Acacia as they both speak back to back, and he shrugs softly to the Dark Ilharess..."A portal is a temporary opening between one place an another that are typically opened by those highly skilled in the Arcane Arts. Those that are much more practiced can enchant items, such as this one, that can be used to maintain the portal as a gate, but when the passage is permanent you need to close it off from anything wishing to come trough from the other side."
Zoskia Cor'mai turns hi right hand over, palm upward and gestures to his cousin, "At present, Nifredil is in possession of this...item. Whatever we might think or want is of no real relevance. Fate has placed it in his hands to do with as he pleases. If he wishes to make it available to others or all lands, that is his decision. If he wishes to investigate it or hand to another to investigate...again, this is all his decision."
Elayne Carpathia: "My thoughts exactly. I will report back to Dame Pelinor and the citizens of Greenhaven all we've discussed this night. Our citizens will want to play a significant part in whatever decisions are made."
Colby Lykin: "One of eight portals, you say?" He regards the blue queen of the Sylvan fae curiously. Nodding toward the lavender crystal he adds: "Can this mysterious volume identify the stone at our feet? And what of the treasures that may wait on the other side for those lucky enough to first gain entry?" The satyr's eyes gleam avariciously.
Nifredil Evael shakes his head to his cousin and the Druidess from The Whispering Pines..."I called the leaders here to discuss the fate of this stone, and gave the leaders of all lands enough time to attend this meeting to do just that. Tonight you speak for your land, and the decision will be set in motion from here."...he shrugs softly at the Satyr as he asks more of the Sage of Anar..."Some may feel that is unwise, or unfair...but such is life."...his voice was a smooth purr as he spoke in response to the inquires about what to do with the crystal.
Elva'ree Do'Valtor raises her eyebrow at Zoskia, "Oh it was fate? Or was it the combined armies of the our alliance that made it so he could retrieve the stone? We went there with intention of retrieving it and we did." she sneered at Zoskia, "Though I am pleased that one who has sense was the one to physically pick up the stone, It saves me from having to whet my dagger." she turned to Cia and nodded at her significant look, and spoke to the group "What ever we decide to do with the portal, I am confident in saying that the Magician will assist us in at least approving a bloodknight or two to aid in protecting the Gate should something unsavory come through to our side. He is vastly invested in holding the powers of chaos at bay."
Keira Alzael rises from the ground to make her suggestion, and speaks clearly so all can hear. "The henge here in Tari, up high on the hill." she points in the direction of the henge. "The elements could be called upon to guard the portal should it be chosen as the resting place of a portal." Having said her piece she sits back down and lets them say what they will.
Acacia Rose opened her hands in a balancing gesture, speaking to Colby, "Treasure or danger. You yourself have a yeth hound tooth, They are quite valuable, if you can survive killing the beast, not all planes are friendly to all"
Zoskia Cor'mai frowns at the mention of the artificer who worked for the Conclave, having determined after his problems with planar travel before to be much more cautious, then closed his eyes and took a slow deep breath a he listened to the threats and challenges of the Dok Al'far queen, then sighed to himself without a sound. Sometimes, he grew so tired of dealing with others....politics. "If Nifredil wishes to make it available to all, I suggest that we find some neutral place to house it lest someone take it in their mind to attempt him harm. A couple of Blood knights might be an excellent solution."
Nifredil Evael nods to the suggestion of the Sylvan Archdruid..."Bloodknights, and guards from each land to protect against anything that may come from the side. An Elemental Lord to act as a gate keep...such as Hiemdall acts as such for the plane of Asgard."...he turns his head slightly as he looks back to his cousin as a grin begins to pull across his lips..."A neutral area. Perhaps a piece of land that we can raise into the air to float between each of the lands? I am sure with our combined power we could accomplish that."
Zoskia Cor'mai smiles, "I was thinking more along the lines of asking the Magician to keep it in his Library." he says, then shrugs. "Since he has made the library available to all."
Elva'ree Do'Valtor narrows her eyes at Zoskia, not missing his show of annoyance at her words, "If you wish to cause strife between myself and those of Sylvhara, You will find my wrath can be very pointed," She turned back to listening to Nif, "I am not apposed to a neutral area, but a floating chunk of land will be hard for those without wings to reach."
Colby Lykin smiles warmly as Acacia mentions the treasure hanging from his armband. He glances over his shoulder, in the direction Keira mentioned. "If the crystal were housed here, on the border with Taure Ru, would Ruvians have free access to it?"
Serendipityes: "While that is a neutral area, that seems a dangerous place to put it, should forces come through it, These Bloodknights are not perfect are they? A teleport can be set to a floating island, "
Zoskia Cor'mai laughed to himself at the queen's comment before he could help himself and quickly covered his mouth with his hand, and slowly stroked his chin as if he were considering what was being said...
Malakyte Thorne sat back and listened as the others debated seeing the merits of both ideas. One who did not normally travel the planes she had no real opinion in the matter except that the realm or realms should be protected from what might come through.. and she had already given her imput.
Keira Alzael fought back a giggle at the thought, hearing the drowess speak and had to compose herself before she could speak again. She waited a bit then offered "If I might add, the henge here in Tari is also located at the base of Dragon Mountain. Should anything get past the elements, wards, and guards the dragons would be the first on the spot."
Nifredil Evael rights his head as Zoskia states his opinion on where the portals should go..."Much how we trek the Aluvian Library, Elva'ree. Portals from each land to where ever the gates are placed."...his eyes bounced around between everyone that voiced an opinion now, pleased that there was a good discussion on the fate of the crystal..."Keira. No one land should possess these, and they should not be spread across the lands either. They become much harder to secure if they are spread out."...he raises his arms to cross over his chest, the light chain vest he wore bunched across his chest under his arms as his right fingers rapped lightly on his bicep..."While I have my own opinions on the locations on where these should go we have three locations thus far. The Henge of Tari, The City of Aluvia, and creating a floating island between all the lands."
Elva'ree Do'Valtor shakes her head at the idea Keira suggested, "If we put it on the ground, in Sylvan territory, I would insist that gates be put in Taure Ru as well." she looked at Serendipityes, "No one is perfect, but we are skilled in ways that others are not, we have abilities that would be very useful to alerting those who need to know there is a disturbance." She nodded to NIfredil, "I find that more acceptable then the idea of them being controlled by one."
Keira Alzael nods her head as though she understands but she's going to have to think on it more, no one land, yet not spread out. Aye, the neutral ground was looking better but she did wonder. Then she heard what Elva had to say and full well did understand that, so she smiled if any might notice and pondered neutral ground.
Malakyte Thorne glanced at Keira in surprise and then chuckled. "I should mention that the dragons are not always at home, anyway though i appreciate the sentiment ."
Keira Alzael grins openly and with great admiration for her mentor.
Colby Lykin nods as Elva speaks, glancing back to Nifredil. "A land of Earth, born high in the Air. An elemental feat that might present a fascinating challenge." His eyes gleam at the thought. "But then any forces that come through would have the high ground." He rubs his chin thoughtfully for a moment. "What about raising land far out to sea? Provide portals to all the realms. Each realm supplies guards. All sides appeased. Combined forces neutral?"
Acacia Rose "There is something to be said for the Henge, the residual of the many protections placed on it would make it a good choice, I favor the floating island, It does have the advantage of being small enough not be used as a base for attack."
Zoskia Cor'mai: "I can only speak for myself; however, I am fairly certain that we of the Ithryn Guild have no designs on monopolizing or attempting to control the use of such an item. I again urge that we place it in the care of someone that those who might think to attempt to control its usage would be hard pressed to gain any advantage over. I remember how some of our neighbors have failed to respect the ownership of others....nothing personal." he says, turning towards the Dok Al'far queen with a smile and a small bow as he spread his hands apart, palms upward.
Alton'Aonar Og'elend narrows his eyes at Zoskia, catching his tone
ĴŨŊϊ reaches into her pouch, withdraws an acorn and hands it up to the chipmunk perched on her head as she listens to the goings on.
Serendipityes: turns to the satyr *What a wise suggestion. Do the druids of this land think they could accomplish such a task? to created such a land? Lundene certainly would be happy to provide a guard from our land, to see that it was to remain neutral"
Elva'ree Do'Valtor nods slowly, "If we can not have them on Taure Ru, I will agree to this island in the side idea, and ArchDruid Colby idea of having it over water would add to the security as Jallil Acacia had mentioned." She turned back to Zoskia, her face blank as he spoke, "You speak as if you have never taken things that did not belong to you, again I will remind you my memory is long and I have yet to forget your actions as the Archmage to the Empress. Your suggesting that We would monopolize the gates and their usage, I will not dispute, but it is not less that what I would expect from your Ithryn guild."
Nifredil Evael hmms softly as he listens to others muse about the options placed before this random council, his attention turning toward Alton as he stood away from the group..."You. Jaluk. You have stood back without a word. Are you going to weigh in on this discussion?"...his booted feet shift on the soft ground before the ruined fort of Tari as he notes the facial expression change on the young Drow..."We are not here to start a war. This would be the reason for placing these gates in an area that is owned by no one, but everyone at the same time..."While the Magician has many tools in his possession that would aid in securing these gates within the City of Aluvia his Bloodknights should be more than enough protection if we have the aid of a powerful Elemental, cousin."...he gestures first to Elva as he mentions the Bloodkngihts, and then to the various Druids that sit around the circle. His eyes narrow as Zoskia and the Dark Ilharess continue their quips back and froth between each other
Acacia Rose turned to look at Elva'ree with some surprise, "Interesting. It was the Empress who brought me into the Ithryn to study under the Archage Dinnin. Do you think that Ithryn has changed that much. Ithryn is my guild as well?"
Alton'Aonar Og'elend thinks a moment, "I will back the decisions of my Queen and whatever agreement she may come to with you, for the time being. "
Colby Lykin puffs his pipe calmly, nodding to Juni as she approaches the gathering. His looks to Serendipityes. "Raising land from the sea would be a marvelous feat, but not one beyond the reach of the druids gathered here." He motions with his pipe to the others within their small gathering.
ĴŨŊϊ nods and winks at Colby as she moves to stand beside him. Her ears twitching as she takes in what is being discussed. Her eyes sliding over the group stopping momentarily upon Nif as she takes in his words and then to Cia, nodding to the fae queen but remaining silent as to not disrupt the discussion.
Elva'ree Do'Valtor lips curl in a smile at Acacia "I do not, which is why I will not stand for them being in under Ithryn control," she nodded to Alton, then at Colby's words as she took stock of those gathered. As Kane approached, she did not know him personally, but had seen him in Ru so she nodded to him, then to Juni as she spotted her lovely wings.
Acacia Rose At the mention of an Elemental Cousin, she settles to the earth and looks about the group. "Druids are not the the only ones to work with the elements, The arcane warriors, bards, and Mages all work with them as well, Many could be involved, and aid in the making."
ĴŨŊϊ tilts her head, her brow arching upon her forehead as she noticed the nod from the Drowess. She nods in return as she feeds her little critter friend another acorn.
Zoskia Cor'mai continues smiling, "I am certain that everyone must be mesmerized by your most illuminated explanation, your highness However, as you will notice, we Mages of the Ithryn guild only wish to ensure that ALL have the ability to use this item and that none might be able to give in to their proclivities...nothing more. My paths twists and turns only makes my point that much more evident."
Kane von Lothric approaches the group in his silent and observant way, taking in and listening prior to opening his mouth. he nods to his Queen and the many members of the other Mage guilds in neighboring Realms, and gives Cia a special wink prior to absorbing himself in the meeting.
Nifredil Evael raises his hands up in order to gain the attention of those gathered before the ruins of the first loss against the chaotic forces of the void..."We've debated long enough."...he would pause for a moment to let any final chatter die down, turning to Alton as he seemed to give a rather standard answer for a Drow male..."we have three offered options. The Henge of Tari, The Aluvian Library, and finally creating a floating island over the sea between the lands."...his eyes turn between each of those scattered around him..."Please give your final vote, and we will set the majority decision in motion."
Colby Lykin 's lips part in a wry grin, nodding at Acacia's suggestion. "A land raised of such combined strength could well be designed to guard against unwanted invasion, both from within and from without." He grips his pipe between his teeth, rubbing his hands together slowly as Nifredil calls for the vote. Pipe in hand again he offers: "An island raised at sea might also be prepared to house the remaining portal gems, should they ever be found. This is my vote." He nods, smoke swirling playfully about his horns.
Elva'ree Do'Valtor almost smiled at Zoskia, almost. She turned and listened to Nifredil as he brought the discussion to an end, calling for a vote, "I would see it in the sky, over the sea and between lands, It is the safest location and a place no one can place their armies to claim them as their own."
Keira Alzael stands to be heard and speaks "After listening to the words of the many wise ones gathered here I vote with the Aluvian Library. It exists already and is neutral." She then fluttered over to the edge, over by Elayne so as to not be standing in the middle.
Acacia Rose "I favor the Island still."
Zoskia Cor'mai nods at Keira, "I concur, Aluvia. Who would dare to desecrate the magician's city?"
Alton'Aonar Og'elend glances toward the vampire a moment and puts his injured hand in his pocket before turning looking back toward Nifredil once more, "I agree that the Magician's library would be the safest and most simple choice,"
Serendipityes "I know that SIr Reginar, would oppose the Aluvian Library, for he would not trust that location. I will place Lundene's vote for a small island."
Kane von Lothric: Nods thoughtfully , "I would Vote the Floating island , Its location makes the most sense to my mind" his eyes narrow with though as his hand flexes absently, "Yes It is very defensible, and logical" he mutters under his breath "
ĴŨŊϊ looks around as she weighs on the decision herself "I feel that raising an island will be the best decision, as ALL would be involved in its creation."
Elayne Carpathia with a very concerned look in her eyes watches all the gathered people, "After much thought, my vote would be the Aluvian Library."
Elva'ree Do'Valtor raises an eyebrow at Alton, it didn't seem to take him long to support her wishes.
Malakyte Thorne listens and shrugs "I vote the library though i would not object to the island for the safety of our land. "
Colby Lykin runs his tongue over his teeth. He waves his pipe out to indicate the ruins they gather within. "It is not the Magician's fate that should concern us." He glances to Zoskia. "Would you place the contents of the great library at risk?"
Nifredil Evael nods his head slowly as he listens to the vote of the council of leaders, his brow raising slightly as Alton votes against Elva'ree after pledging his support to her just moments before..."I believe we have reached a majority. We will work on creating a floating island to place these gates on."...he hmms softly as he reaches out to the crystal that had been floating before him the whole time, and pulls it to him with a simple Mage Hand spell..."The Library would not be at risk either way, but I am sure the Magician would be pleased to hear you are concerned about him, Colby."...as his fingers wrap around the cool glowing stone he lowers his head to everyone in attendance..."I wish to thank you all for gathering here this evening, and for weighing in on this important decision. I shall be in contact with everyone so we can begin preparations soon."
Zoskia Cor'mai smiles and winks at the dok al'far queen, "Congratulations, your highness. Your will reigns again supreme. How far you have come in such a short time. Who would have ever thought that you would one day give orders and people would actually listen." He turned and smiled to Colby, "You truly believe that is possible? The magician's city?"
Keira Alzael smiles to Nifredil then to the others in the circle and then gracefully lifts from the ground to return home.
Alton'Aonar Og'elend rubs his head, seeming a bit disoriented and turns to leave
Tittakemen Hun'ett: remain quiet watching and listening
Colby Lykin grins at the conclusion. "The magician is more than capable of defending himself, is all I suggest." He glances to Zoskia. "Placing the door to realms unknown within the city may well have been asking for trouble." He shrugs. "But now the books will indeed remain safe." His eyes gleam with the thought of the possibilities to come.
Acacia Rose smiles. "It seems that we have a task to coordinate, I will be spending time researching that volume and see what can be found on raising an island."
Malakyte Thorne slips off the stone seat she had taken for the meeting and bows "Thank you Nifredil for the invitation." Rising she looks to the others and bids them all a good night before departing
Elva'ree Do'Valtor turns to Zoskia and stares at him a moment before she turned away from him. She watched Alton leave and nodded to Tittakemen, offering her an explanation, "We discussed where to place the portals that seem to have found their way into the deep roads, we have chosen a place in the sky, neutral land"
Zoskia Cor'mai continued smiling as he drew his hand to his chest in a fist and said, 'v'tosh". Shadows encircled him, obscuring him from sight, then disapated leaving nothing where he had once stood.

Zoskia Cor'mai tilts his head slightly, listening for that soft sound which is more like a pressure on the mind than an actual sound.
