I found this in the RoE 6 on clerics.
They have many tools at their disposal granted to them. They can wear up to Chain in armor (d2) (Roleplay wise they can and DO), but have a Single Weapon type befitting their Deity (no Long longbow tho), and an array of helpful and harmful spells. Magic Resistance of 2 is allowed.
I had thought Clerics were only allowed D1 M2, here it shows D2 M2 is this actually correct?

Thank you for your question. The current rule as of May 5, 2017 is D1 M2. You can also find a copy of the current RoE in the forum here. You can also pick up the current RoE Notecards in world. Just visit the Great Library and you will find a box near the podium with RoE 6 -IP inside.

An seems after discussion with Malikith, yes a cleric can use D2 dependant on which deity like weapons. We spoke in Skype, an have suggested he post here.

Yes it is D1 M2 unless the cleric worships a War God then it is reversed d2 m1. a war god would be like Ares, Athena, Odin, Thor, Heimdall, Horus, etc. The current RoE IS correct but as different gods grant different weapons..it ONLY makes sense to allow for Some deviation with Protection as well
